What a treat, being off on a day you post! Happy Thanksgiving to all! Those gruesome facts are really going to help me appreciate NOT struggling for food on a daily basis. I thank our good Lord everyday for being able to afford and prepare meals to sustain me that I might live another day. We can't take these things for granted, we are living a blessed life. Stories like this remind me how brutal life really was and just how appreciative I am to be alive today. Thank you, Brad. Blessings to all!

That was quite the history lesson, Brad. While I know I learned a lot about the settlement of Jamestown when I was in school, I am sure my teachers would have left out the gruesome details. Thank you for completing my education, you are an excellent historian and teacher. Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day.

We enjoyed this Jamestown story! I actually had a direct descendent of Jamestown and his name is in John Smith’s roster.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. That's awesome that you have that direct connection. I've visited there several times and am anxious to go back. I can't imagine trying to survive in those conditions. :)

For Merry Ole England and The King James Bible in 1610. The roots that planted a word for us all from three boats and an ocean crossed. Like Noah, the tenth from Adam, 10 tribes reduced to 1 tribe against 1 tribe. A 7 year drought that made vampires out of them because of a mistake. They ate enemies, spouses, and children. The rest is history that made turkeys out of all of us. But for the only word I trust to read, KJV. One nation with God that no one can separate by flags with symbols. Am I like Dark Eagle/Benedict Arnold or is it because I just claimed all of my roots while I let the world judge me.

I absolutely LOVE the truest most beautifulest bible on the planet . The King James Bible. This girl will never use any other. Translated from the original text n authorized by the King . Thank God for King James . I feel it’s not a version it’s the real deal. Complete n perfect. There are over 6000 deletions in the new American standard alone. If you ever get a chance read “The New Age Versions”. Amazon has it I’m sure. I don’t need confirmation on why I love my king James but if you run across someone who is uncertain this book will give you all the information you need. The other versions are bad. Omissions are unbelievable. There is authority in my Bible n zero in them
