[Highlights of Exercise Northstar XI @ Jurong Island]
On 22 March 2023, Exercise Northstar XI was conducted at Jurong Island. The exercise involved more than 300 personnel from SCDF, various government agencies and industry partners.
First introduced in 1997, Exercise Northstar is a series of exercises designed to validate multi-agency emergency response plans in response to a terror attack and civil emergency scenario. This year, the exercise simulated a terrorist attack which led to a chemical pipeline rupture and two large storage oil tank fires.
SCDF would like to thank all the government agencies and industry partners for their strong support and participation in the planning and conduct of the exercise, and we look forward to the continued collaboration for future exercises.

When size-of command cannot justify-qualify rank, that person is to be treated as a non-uniformed communications-bridge and never-armed, always suffering-enjoying the consequences of his own past-leadership.
Size-of Army max-ranks always higher-than other services until they learn and reach non-uniformed and further-on to diplomatic-corp only to be disappointed with politicians. You can make mistakes and use shortcuts of existing career-paths but why you choose career-uniformed until retirement.?
