Most players dont do timer. I play dh last season as a main never got a pulltimer on low keys for pre meta or anything else pre (you can use pot pre aswell it should reset too if they didnt change it since df) . I must say i like the effort you are putting into the videos. I hope your mental stays strong in these keys
Stonevault first boss might actually not be the tanks fault alone if they die Tanks get a dispellable debuff there, which turns to a 50% DR for 4 (?) seconds after being dispelled, this should be dispelled right before the heavy tank hit. Not to totally blame the healers (I know there is already more than enough going on for them in these keys), with proper CDs your tank can survive without dispell, but it def gets harder with rising key lvls
Helpful to know as someone who hasn't healed an SV yet, but the larger issue is that the tank didn't press a single larger cd the entire run :D Ty tho!
And the zoom in on the guy dying you can see the debuff smack dab in the middle of the bar and it never goes away. And yes, by the time you hit +10 if it doesn't get dispelled the tank will die. Guaranteed. I learned this the hard way as well healing, because I had no idea until a +10. Luckily my tank was a warrior who is one of the few who can survive it at that level and they were in voice so they told me very quick what was up.
@nickfarace9339 I thought you guys were reffering to the first death, but apparently not, so let me clarify: The tank buster in itself wasn't an issue here as the video was poorly zoomed by me. What I tried to show was that right before the tankbuster, the Paladin willingly jumped right into an unbroken rock, which is why he got oneshot - hence my reaction and why 3 of us instantly left the run.
Hi, im just getting into m+ tho wherever i look for guides im blasted by tier lists. I leveled to 80 about 8 classes from which i enjoy shadow priest the most, tho when tierlist for m+ pops up on my for you page in youtube he is always in the bottom end. Does this affect a new/casual player at all?
It does and doesn't at the same time. The 2 most important things that you need to be aware of are: 1) The vast majority of tier lists only apply to higher keys (+7-18) 2) ALL specs are perfectly capable of timing very high keys. Although some are objectively more useful/higher performing than others, every spec in the game is capable of timing +15 keys, so the difference is only marginal. Now that you're aware that tier lists don't matter very much in practice, they will still affect you in some ways: 1) You'll have a hard time getting into higher groups when playing off-meta. I'm a Demonology main, which is near the bottom of the meta pool, and it takes me 40-70min on average to get into a +10 key. 2) Since off-meta specs usually lack in some area, like defensives or utility, you’ll need to make some extra effort in a run to stay relevant and be useful to your team, I.e. you'll need to properly and thoroughly learn your spec to provide as much as possible. So, to answer your last question, tier lists will not affect you almost at all for a good amount of time, until you progress higher up. Shadow priest is a really interesting spec tho, and I've seen plenty of them run high keys and get into groups, so I think you'll do just fine :) Have fun!!!
I did! It's really fun to play but too squishy. You need some good cd management even in lower keys. Not optimal for new tanks like me but a lot of fun nevertheless! Ty for watching! :)
So uhh, yeah. Seeing the same thing in your vid I am seeing from both tanks in my alt keys (2-4) AND my high keys (12-13). They all just eating it to tank busters. I mean on the one hand, these are probably people trying to learn to tank because queue times suck. And we need those. But yeesh. I am telling them "this is what you must do" and they don't do it. They run up and stand in front of the boss the second we wipe and just repeat the same thing. I insist that there is a hard line in time during a season where a large chunk of people who generally know what they are doing are "done" and the overall skill level of the m+ pool dilutes. We hit that point a few weeks ago. My 3k push hit the same point your Hero push did. The general quality of groups massively declined and I went from at least finishing over half my 12 keys to having groups disband at the first boss. I started this week trying to get my 12 CoT done and 5 tanks all ate it to the first boss multiple times and we disbanded. In 1 hour. 5 failed groups in an hour. It was to say the least, mentally breaking me.
Thank you for the well constructed comment! I'm having the exact same issue. I love when people make the effort to start tanking and fill up the role a bit, but the vast majority of them refuse all help, almost as if they play with their chat turned off. It's really frustrating to deal with this when they don't even listen to me. The tank busters are a bit more understandable higher up, since cd management is much harsher there, but the main issue all lower key tanks have is they REFUSE to press any defensive cds. The Pala in the SV fail didn't press a single cd, other than avenging wrath once. I think this habbit exists because many of them transfer from dps, where personal defensives aren't a requirement in lower keys. I'm also a bit relieved hearing I'm not the only one experiencing this massive decline these past couple of weeks. The depletes have been really awful. In addition to what you said, I also think it's because many players are returning to snag their rewards since it's past mid-season, and S2 is not so far away.
This is why people don't play tanks, to much knowledge need to tank, what should i pull, when i need to use my deff's, and much more, and when i see video like this, now i know, why people say im the best tank they ever seen(im not). But don't be to agressive on tanks, 1 day they learn(maybe).
I don't think it's that much harder, it just packs a lot more responsibility. You may not notice a dps dying or having a bad overall, but you'll definifely notice if your tank dies on every other pull :D At the end of the day, it's a player problem, not really a role problem. This season has just made it more visible by making the dungeons harder.
@@stephenmagill1294just because you’re a newer Player doesnt mean you’re excused when you dont know Basic mechanics in +6. Totally reasonable to get frustrated
@@SeekingSeagull Nah, most of his whinging is about the tank not pulling enough mobs or pulling mobs that aren't in the meta route or some nonsense. 6's aren't high keys clearly so when you can go into your first M+ at like 605-610 ilvl... then a couple of 2 chests you are already at 6 (Which at that ilvl are fairly easy) then you can't really blame them for not knowing every mechanic in the dungeon. SV is a perfect example in that even he doesn't know about the healer/tank mechanic on the first boss. With his gear/knowledge/skill he shouldn't even be doing 6's, or if he is... chill out and offer advice or just suck it up if you get a few bad players.
