The benefits of CPAP out weigh any apprehensions.

@@USAMedicalSupply I have been on cpap for a year now and it took me about 2 months too adjust too cpap pressure the full mask never bothered me because I wore a full face chemical mask many years in the oil patch running chemicals . Now a year later I can’t sleep without it I love waking up refreshed and not tired . I use full humidification also with warm air no dry mouth waking at all ever.

If Andrei doesn't mind sharing, is there a particular reason he started off with full face instead of traditional nasal?

Andrei, is a mouth breather and did not like the idea of a chin strap or mouth tape while sleeping. Also, he has nasal issues.

The hardest issue for me was realizing when your mouth taped you will still get plenty air through your nasal passages with cpap ,your not going too suffocate seriously its all mental let that go and try it atleast once.,my 1st few nites i went all the way until morning and when i woke up my mouth was not dried out like my full face because im a mouth breather too. Im hooked on cpap nasal mask with mouth tape ., and too be totally honest im sleeping much better then with my mouth and nose completely covered up with the full face and no claustraphobic feeling at all. My AHI events per hour have dropped in half And waking refreshed and no fatigue during the day.

@@fracman55Ditto here. Mentally I felt I was suffocating breathing only through my mouth with my mouth taped at first. Now I’m completely comfortable with it.

@@MeowWow-q3h I WAS THE SAME WAY JUST LIKE YOU WITH MOUTH TAPE ,WE MUST AND EXCEPT OUR NOSE WILL KEEP US BREATHING JUST FINE EVEN WITH TAPE ON MOUTH , ITS QUITE NORMAQL TOO FEEL CLAUSTRAPHOBIC AND SCARED ,ONCE YOU DO A FEW TIMES THE FEAR GOES AWAY QUICKLY ,I 1ST STARTED WITH MEDICAL TAPE THAT BREATHES NOW IM ALREADY USED TOO TAPE THAT FITS MUCH TIGHTER .I SLEEP REALLY NOW WITH A NASAL MASK.I STILL USE MY FULL FACE FOR BACK UP IN CASE MY NOSE GETS PLUGGED UP ON A OFF NITE . BUT 99 PERCENT OF THE TIME IS NASAL OR NOSE PILLOW WITH MOUTH TAPE . LOVE IT NOW AND SLEEP ALL NITE REALLY GOOD .

@@USAMedicalSupply I HAVE NASAL ISSUES JUST LIKE ANDREI BUT I GAVE IT SHOT WITH RESMED N20 FROM A FULL FACE F20 NO MORE FULL FACE ,LOVE MOUTH TAPING AND NASAL MASK ,IM A MOUTH BREATHER TOO .WAY BETTER AHI NUMBERS NOW BELOW 5 NOW PER HOUR EVERY NITE . WAS AT SEVERE OVER 25 PER HOUR A YEAR AGO . SLEEP DOCTOR CHANGED MY SETTINGS FROM 12 TOO MAX 8 FOR ME I DONT CARE WHAT ANYBODY SAYS MOUTH TAPING WORKS FOR ME ,I TRYED CHINSTRAPS MOUTH GUARDS. THE ONLY SOLUTION WAS MOUTH TAPING FOR ME AND I HAVE BEEN DOING IT NOW FOR OVER 2 MONTHS
