If the Super-trio of Synths from 1990 are the KORG 01/W, Yamaha SY77 and Roland JV80, then you could step up to the Wavestation, SY22 and the JD800, and enter Hyper-space ;D
One of the things I like best about legacy ROMplers... I LOVE the 'digital' 'bitty' quality to it! Not everything has to sound like a freaking 'phat' MiniMoog Model D! lol
Truly appreciate your videos and your passion for synthesizers. Great insight as always and overall quality. I just inherited a Wavestation EX and really grateful for this intro to the HCard-101. Fresh take on vintage synths. Cheers Vulture Culture🕊️
I have HCards for D50 and DX7 - they work beautifully and build quality is great. Touch buttons might not be everyone’s favorite thing, but they get the job done. Just need some time to get used to.
Hi, Great Job!! Could You please check what firmware Your Wavestation EX has on it??? Hypersynth website is unclear about the EX compatibility with firmware 3.04 like mine. Keep up all Your work!!!
...some great sounds on the card. The monster patch is breathtaking. (Only that one were already enough to reach out). That WS EX got a fully resonant filter is definitely not true. It's first intoduced with the Prophecy. Anything rezz-alike is either a wave sequence &/or from the FX. DX1/5/7 all share the same cartridges but usage of those with DX7 II require a funny adapter (I call condom), what means the slot is even bigger than on the previous machines.
Looking forward to this release. Do you know if it comes with RAM3 from the WS/SR or the time slice card on there? Those have some of my favorite performance patches :) Also wondering if anyone makes a card like this for the other slot that contains all the aftermarket PCM sounds. The PCM card for Time Slice is ridiculously expensive.
@@VultureCulture That's my hope! Maybe I'll get to hear some of the patches on that card soon before investing. Too many synths, yeah, I've been getting rid of stuff lately. If it doesn't spark joy, it's gone.
I really like your content and your enthusiastic presentation style, but what's with the hissy sound that seems to happen when you play sounds? Just listened to the first 10 minutes and I'm pretty sure the audio I'm hearing isn't what you're hearing. I've heard it in several of your live stream videos. It's like this layer of digital noise that sits on top of the synth.
@@VultureCulture I've still never joined in one of your streams live yet. I only found you a month or two ago. I will absolutely join in when opportunity presents itself. I'm curious if the same artifacts happen during the broadcast, or only after TH-cam archives it. It's a shame , because your synth comparisons are totally deserving of the best possible fidelity. It's worth getting to the bottom of this.
@infindebula I have noticed it before but yes, it would be great to get to the bottom of it because it's pretty damaging, especially when listening to raw oscillators
from what i understand same voice cards work for the EX / SR / AD. I contacted Hypersynth and they did not try the card with the SR rack. I am pretty sure the H-CARD 101 will work with the SR version but prefer to be %100 certain before purchasing@@VultureCulture
Could anyone switch a light on the card ? The video is too dark. Is there a touch screen? Where is it. The card seems to be awesome but the video is not very good.
The HCard-101 will be available here: www.hypersynth.com/products.html (early December 2023)
is the card soon available?
@MrDanyRodriguez hopefully january
When you spend a little time with these and learn how to program them, these are amazing.

Thank you for such a great comment! I really appreciate it and hope you enjoy that Wavestation, one of the most incredible synths of all time!

THIS IS COMPLETLEY SICK!
I had an O1/Wfd back in the day.
I always hated the rather limited Patch memory and screwing around with those floppies.
Yeah Hypersynth is changing the game!

Yeah I misspoke there! A1 is an effect processor.

I don't know of a PCM card yet - but I'm pretty sure it has the ram3 patches :)
Darn. I sold my Wavestaions A/D & SR 2 years ago for the app.
Can you cross load sounds from the M1 into a Wavestation?
You cannot unfortunately. They have completely different architecture.
Works with the DS8 also? Very cool. Wonder what those sounds will be like. My poor old DS8 sits in the closet.
Is it still working?
@@VultureCulture Sure is! Just haven't had much use for it lately.
@this_connor_guy I bet this card would light that synth up! I want to get a DS8 to try sometime but I've got WAYYYYY too many synths rn lol

Please Hypersynth evaluate also korg 01W memory card… memory cards in the used market are so rare and insanely expensive
can we get the sounds for the M1, Wavestation, monopoly, MS 20, VST legacy, obviously not on the card
What do you mean? Presets from the VSTs?
Hello, i serach for this card my Hardware Korg M1 … Where I can buy it ?
Should be released soon! I'll be posting another video the day it launches

Will it work whith Korg 01R/W ?
It won't sadly.

I think it might be TH-cam compression? TH-cam handles live streams differently than it handles regular videos audio I believe. I'm not 100% sure

It does!
I just ordered a used Korg M1R EX as well as Korg Wavestation A/D and the HyperSynthcard 101… yeah me
Shame it still isn’t shipping.
They're doing some more thorough product testing currently. They want to make sure everyone gets an excellent piece of gear.
