I just bought the License Plate relocator bracket for my 2016 Scion TC, I'm gonna install it as soon as I can and a Blue tow hook strap at the same time.
I bought this for a 2004 Acura TL. The bolt would not thread in properly, I think because the threading was incorrect. This resulted in it breaking, and now the threading to the bold is stuck in my tow hook. I did not use excessive force either, the thing just broke. I am not happy I paid for this to break so easily
My car has that mechanism… too bad that there’s NOTHING inside the hole, so there isn’t anything for the bracket to latch on to. I’m guessing that I have to try my luck with some bumper drilling…
i placed an order for a one for a BMW 325i but it doesnt seem to work since the tread is different is there a diferent peg adapter for the tow hole i could use?
I have this type of bracket for my ct4 and it trips the parking sensors no matter which position its in. And ive tried every single position and initially it seems all good for the first second then it ttips the sensors. So if your giving about getting this for a car rhat has parking sensors, it may trip them. Im getting pretty tired of them tripping the sensor, so now ressarching other drilless brackets.
Not all 2006 Acura TL's have that tow hold screw spot....On mine there isn't one in that spot or anywhere else on the front. Only spot that has the plugs are where the 2 in the center are for the actual Honda/Acura plate frame goes.

any idea if it would fit a 2015 infiniti qx60? Also, I noticed the screw head that secures the backplate to the bolt is kind of small. My improvement suggestion would be to select a little bigger and stronger (galvanized) screw(s) so it doesnt rust and becomes weak (eventually break). Definitely wouldn't want my plate fall off doing 70mph on the highway.

Why do all these owners of pieces of crap JDM rubbish want to add tow hooks to their cars? Think I just answered my own question, carry on. By the way, what a terrible, flimsy and ugly product. You know what you are dealing with when he turns up with a shifter set to wrong size and still uses it.

The plate still moves even if you tighten it all the way

Fits great on a 2022 Tesla Model Y. The thread is counter clockwise rather than clockwise, however. Lefty tighty righty loosey.
I might need one of those for my car plate, especially if it also has a transponder too, so I'll need a longer bolt to get that in.

kit comes with a washer and lock washer. Your video does not show using these, what are they for?????
Did you use the washer? Mine keeps coming loose & spinning the license plate with the washer
