    These carbon fiber rocker panel extensions are PERFECT and make the side profile of the C8 look much sharper. Now all we need is a front splitter in carbon fiber to complete the look and hopefully a high wing spoiler of some kind in the future! Make sure to check out AGMotorsports! www.agmotorsports.net/

    Excellent video. When you turned over the side skirt I could see the quality and craftsmanship of the carbon on the back side. Kudo to AGM for manufacturing well made parts in the US!

    I like those without the wings in the back.

    Great video but why wouldn't you just tape the panel on and then drill and rivet?

    Y’all are braver than me. I just installed OEM ground effects including splitter. I paid a dealership to do it. A hole has to be drilled into the side of the car just in front of the rear wheels.

      We don't mind a good DIY! Oh yeah, that's a bit more complex as they remove the fender liner

    Hi Daily! Just watched y’all install the Carbon Fibre side skirts. What a professional and awesome job! I’m an OWG (Old White Guy) Vietnam era USAF Vet but there’s just something about carbon fiber that I love! I think your ‘vette looks really mean already with the mirrors and all but those skirts just add that little extra pizazz that make the car pop. Great job, great content, and I love you guys’ attitudes on the air...always “Can Do!”. Please keep posting and doing the things like you’re doing. It makes my day to see what else you guys come up with to do on the Vette. Stay safe, stay strong, carry on.

      We couldn't be happier with the carbon fiber and how the car has turned out so far. We're glad you enjoy the content and thank you for following along on our journey!

    Your carbon fiber parts are sick bro. Car looks great. The only thing that is an eye sore is the white lettering on tires. That is a muscle car , SUV, truck look. Not for super cars. Nevertheless, excellent DYI skills.

    Always do the side you care least about first, that way your learn the lessons there and perfect the side you care about most.

    Isn’t it sub ideal what the rocker does not go all the way back? That area where is not protected is going to get jacked up fast!

    Hey! I tried installing my side skirts with 3/16 short rivets (1/8" grip) but they don't seem to work - the stem never pops and it made one of my holes larger (about 1/4" big now, 3/16 rivet no longer works). Not sure how to salvage this, any words of wisdom? I wonder if I need to use a washer or something

      @DailyDownshift  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hmm, not sure I can help without really seeing the issue. Sounds like you need to figure out why the stem never pops because they should if you are using the correct tool and rivet size.

      @@DailyDownshift Seems like the batch of rivets I purchased might have been defective, I tried a different brand and they popped fine with no probs. Got them installed finally - thanks again for the vid!

    Why don’t you take off the tape before you rivet the part to the car?

    The weave is in the wrong direction. The weave should angle back from front (inside) to back (outside). It should look wind swept. The weave is also in opposite direction of the mirrors. The weave direction should be the same.

    Anyone else concerned about drilling holes into your new car? I imagine trading in the car at a later date would be significantly devalued.

    • @DailyDownshift
      @DailyDownshift  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not one bit, you'd be shocked at how little dealerships car about little things like this. I've traded in many sports cars and they don't even put it on a lift before giving you your money.

    You should first show how you clean the car with a alcohol pad to get all the dirt off the car before you try to attach the tape. Some people would not know to do that and would not do that cuz they did not see it on your vlog.

    Only point to a great video is you shouldn’t rely on jacks to the car up for safety
