- The Swedish Institute Scholarship application is a two fold application process requiring applicants to apply to the university, then for the scholarship. Hi Faith, Thanks for your video it's very informative. I have a question, I worked in a family business and it requires a client/organization to fill out the forms as family members cannot fill it. Which of the companies is expected to stamp the form at the end, the family business or the client organization that filled the form?
The form should be signed by the client organization that filled the form.

In the event that your CEO in not a family member, they can in fact sign your work experience and leadership form as they can validate your work experience. Alternatively, you can have a member of staff or a client (organization not individual) sign on your behalf.

You can fill in up to 2 leadership experience forms, one can be from your place of work so long as the position held is a leadership position. It is highly recommended that one of these forms be from volunteer work outside your work experience.
Hey love. should the scanned documents be in color or black and white is also aloud in pdf format?
The instructions are not specific about whether or not to scan the documents in color.

Also, I have held two different position in an organization, can I write it as two different work experiences? Thank you.
The website says that If you are not able to get a traditional stamp for your reference letter you could explore the possibility of signing the document with a digital signature or stamp.
My personal opinion is that a seal should be sufficient but please call +46-8-453 78 00 or email si@si.se the SI itself to seek clarity from them
Almost the same problem with stamping. My employer is a bank with over 100k employees. They have their own reference letter template. They are not allowed to fill out third party documents per company policy. It's a potential firewall threat.
I asked my previous managers to fill out the template but the company doesnt allow them to use the digital signature or even the company logo. It is too much asking them to have the docs notarized.

My question concerns the reference letter for the scholarship: can we get a letter from our professor as an academic letter or does it have to come from the university administration?
The letter of reference should be written by someone who has worked directly with you, so yes, your professor can write your academic letter. Please keep in mind that if you have an experience based on your involvement in networks or civil society organizations, this will be an added merit.

The instructions do not explicitly state whether or not to use capital letters.
Uppercase letters tend to be more legible than lowercase letters.

Plz, the Work Experience form has a light dark rectangle in the right column. Should I type in the light dark rectangle or before or after it? Can it be deleted?
The little rectangle can be deleted.
Please, where did you get the work experience form?
On the second last item after a date stamp, I understand that the referee signs in his/her own handwriting. Is it the same with the date and place or those can be typed?
The instructions explicitly say that the signature is by hand but does not give specific instructions about the date and place. It should therefore be okay to have it typed or written by hand depending on your preference.

On submission of the form, it states that each form should be on its page and must not stretch to two pages and maximum of 5 pages minus the instruction page. This is for two work & leadership forms. Where does the fifth page come from? From my own understanding, the 1st form has 2 pages and the 2nd one has two pages so if you merge them you get to have 4 pages. My second question is that, is it okay to just print out pages 4 and 5 by supervisors when signing and date stamping the forms or maybe they have to delete the instructional pages to remain with two pages?
On letter of reference forms am I right to think that maximum number of pages for merged forms is four?
The form stated that you can submit a maximum of 3 work experience and two leadership forms. That's how it amounts to max of 5 pages. 1 page per form.@@brightngalande7366
Hello Faith. Please i wanted to know. Am i allowed to delete the instructions on the proof or work, leadership and reference? Can i delete the instructions then merge the forms? Since i will combine forms from different organizations. Please let me know thank you
You may delete the instruction pages as the letter of reference explicitly states that you should not include the instructions in the final PDF.
The Proof of work and leadership experience does not have such explicit instructions but say that the instruction pages are not considered in the required 5 pages to be submitted.

Can this form be downloaded so as to be filled and stamped?
Yes, you can fill it out on your computer then print it out to stamp and sign.

I have worked in the same organisation but transitioned to different department. 2 roles in a leadership position and 1 as an officer.how do I present this in the work and leadership forms? Thanks for your help
When filling out the work experience form, include and account for all your roles as an officer and as a leader. When filling out the leadership experience form, only include the 2 roles in a leadership position. I hope this makes sense.

I have worked in a company for total 2840 hours. My leadership hour was 1440. So, how am I going to write on the proof of work and leadership experience form. Should I fill 2840 total in the work experience form and 1440 for leadership role or 1400 for work experience form and 1440 for leadership role?
When filling in the work experience form, input the total number of hours you have worked in the organization. that is the whole 2840 hours, providing proof of the 1400 hours as an administrator and the 1440 as a leader. When filling in the leadership experience form, include only the hours spent in a leadership role that is 1440 hours.

In the proof of work and leadership experience, the referee just signs. On the letters of reference is where they have to answer the required questions.
