We started LinguaTrip (study-abroad booking platform) back in 2011. We got an offer from the Silicon Valley accelerator back in 2015. This mini-documentary will talk about the story, what helped us get into the accelerator, what led us to the US, and how we ended up living here.

So inspiring and so cool to see you guys grow the company into what it is today! I remember I stumbled upon your Rus and Eng youtube channels back in 2016 when you guys just moved to Silicon Valley. Not only it was an interesting content, but the fact that I was studying at Foothill College up at Los Altos Hills at that time made me think "oh it's so sick these guys are literally in the area and trying to establish and grow the company here, curious to see what it takes and how it's gonna go." How did you get green card exactly after joining the accelerator?
No she didn't get green card, she applied for the visa straight away O-1 Visa: Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement, and got it.
@@Olyshka. Can you even apply for O1 visa on an accelerator? How is this possible?
@@Gauravjin, they applied according their bissness plan, and to develope bissness they should be in USA, as they wanted to register their company in USA, and to work with all schools and colleges they need to be present in USA, to check facilities and education materials. So it was long way to get that visa, and they did really amazing work. Marina explained everything in her Russian channel.

I think this is kind of exceptional. Schools don't generally have to pay commissions but in this case it may be that it is making money for them in being able to better evaluate applications and even collect higher tuition fees from foreign students. Neat little business. But many startups fail (and certainly those with VC seed money) and this concept is easy for someone to copy. Also, now it seems like the business is highly dependent on social media, which doesn't seem that interesting.
