Not all investors are so patient to wait 2-6 months while you are sorting out incorporation issues. Moreover, you need a company to frame relationships with co-founders and clients. Standard market practice is to create a group of companies in different jurisdictions if you operate across different countries.

When I considered different countries for my company, what stopped me was having to go overseas to open a bank account in the US. Opening a US company is a piece of cake; accounting is monstrous. And visas and all that headache. So I ended up opening Estonian company instead. But yeah, if you plan to get investments from US investors, then you have like no choice. :)

Stripe in general is good, but Atlas.. It really depends of what you doing.. I've done all by myself back at the start.. all in NY.. If you not exactly an IT startup, you can be in NY, Illinois.. and the main thing that you qualify as a small business! C-corp is NOT a small business by any means! This is a disgrace for the legislature and the government institutions that this is necessary, I mean, that you can't do this in a 'normal' bank.
