I drove this engine for over 3 years when she was new! I gave 20 years of my life to the RLR and I walked out 25 years ago because the board at the time felt my efforts to restore the loco Robert went against their wishes! I'd like to say how proud I am of Robert CME and Murray (Chairman)... Neil PW manager (not sure he's still there) but what you guys have learned is very impressive and I'm very proud of you all! You have made something very special of the railway and I miss you all! I often take my training bus up to the lido and often tell my trainees about the railway history. Maybe one day I'll return and offer my skills again - kind regards G. C
