Making a C&C that only allows certain cars is a weird concept to me. In Dallas anyone can just show up and park as long as you are early enough to find a spot.
@@orlandosotolongo3385 I think for the most part the “ricer” scene kids don’t show up to the cars and coffee meets. But regardless, these meets aren’t about who’s allowed and who’s not allowed in. It’s an open to the public event. If anyone starts acting up, simple solution is to kick them out. The solution is not to forbid entrance to “just the regular Corolla” like really? 🤦🏾♂️
At C & C here in Atlanta they have areas for different types of cars. Exotics in one and one for Porches then a general lot for everything else. Glad you had a chance to let people see you GR in the wild. Heading over next week, picked up my GR 1/26/23.
I stopped going to Houston Coffee & Cars when they moved it to Post over a year ago. The people that run it don't know anything about cars short of it being an exotic. If they can't associate the name plate (i.e., Civic, Corolla, Lancer, Impreza etc.) with some kind of " sports car" linage. They just won't let it in. They probably didn't even know the Corolla had a sports car version out since they don't keep up with anything short of Exotic cars.

The more of these videos I see the less enthusiastic I am to go to one of these. I’d be just as excited seeing a mint 95 Honda del Sol SI as I would any Lamborghini or Ferrari or whatever. A true car enthusiast respects and appreciates all fun, quirky and relatively rare vehicles, even if they do not prefer them. There is soo much hype behind this car. I bet this car is and has been dominating search result percentages compared to almost all the cars there. Seems like there is a lot of elitist gatekeeping trash going on. They must have known what the car is. I’m sure the gatekeepers have strict rules. Wouldn’t want every Civic with a body kit coming in and mucking up place.
I’m probably going to get a lot of hate for this, but what kind of gas mileage are you getting in the GR? I heard the GR Yaris was around 32 on the highway. I would get around 29 in my evo 8. Thanks!

I didn't see anything about them not letting you in on the video. You never pulled up so they probably thought you were lost and in a basic Corolla. Next time drive up and explain what your car is so we can actually see it get rejected 😂

This car and the type r are completely unavailable due to extremely low production numbers for these cars and the dealer mark-ups make them laughable for you get vs the competition at the asking price! The new mustang will be available in large numbers and will fart on either of these cars! Keep em Toyota, Honda and your stealerships

That’s crazy because this is definitely one of the main cars I’d be spending time around with if I saw it.
I had a lot of people tell me the same at the event. They were just as shocked as I was when that guy at the front turned me away.
