imo you should be looking to get to the highest floor possible. Why? Because you will receive a lot more rewards this way than going for a high ranking. So imo don't go for scarab buffs always attack or hp for your desired troop. Each level gives up 2 gold boxes. Ranking rewards are poor compared to the rewards from each floor completed.

If you open the Anubis map from the edges first, it gives more options to open before it forces you to hit something.
