I've been loving my new favorite product combo, but needed to find out what product worked best to refresh my hair. So, today, I did a side by side challenge to discover the answer.

Great comparison April! I’ve been trying your technique of refreshing by dipping fingers in water. I love how it is working for me! I am learning more of how my hair is curling or not curling on different sections of my hair. I have tried foam refreshing, and it works better on my lower sections where I am more curlier. I have done that and then switched and used a gel for the top sections. I like the results. I just received the Innersense foam yesterday in the mail. Can’t wait to try it. Thanks for comparing the two!
Hi Kathy, you are getting to know your hair so well! 🎉New products can sometimes take a few wash days to figure out - what they do, how to use them, and how much to apply. Foams are always the most challenging for me because with some foams, a little goes a long way. With others, a lot is needed to work. I’ll try a bit more of the Innersense foam next time to see how my hair responds. Sounds like another challenge…

That is a very respectable refresh! I agree that the gel side has better definition but both sides have great volume. The foam might be a good refreshing product for more wavy hair. And the frizz? It doesn’t bother me at all, your hair looks beautiful.
Hi Kathy! Thank you! Yes, I agree that the foam will likely be great for wavy hair and fine hair too. It’s so lightweight that it allows the hair to lift even while adding a bit of moisture and shine. It’s fun to discover what each product does and to find the best match for our hair needs & style preferences. ♥️

Hi Laura, Yes! There are so many others things to get in the morning, right?! 😌 I just made up my own 5 minute limit because after that, I start to get anxious. Let’s make our mornings as enjoyable as possible. 😅 I hope you will find what works best for you and your peace of mind too!
@@TheCurlStory Yes, absoLUTELY! I was finding a refresh took ALMOST the same amount as a wash day, lol! I thought there was probably something I was getting a little too detailed about. Last two have been about 10 minutes, maybe? so, still whittling it down. ;-)

I loved the comparison. What also came to me, is that even if the foam side gave you more frizz, i didn't mind it! So why is it ok for others but not for me? Lol I need to accept some of my frizz as well!!! That's part of the curly hair, right? Thanks for another great video! 😘
Thank you Aline! You are so right. We are so much more critical of ourselves than others are of us. Now, when my hair is looking too messy/frizzy, and I need to go in the world, I just put on my earrings, more makeup & rock it. Confidence makes everything look better!

Thank you! No, the Innersense hairspray is not sticky. I use it to tame the crown frizz. It’s a flexible hold, so it doesn’t have major holding power to keep curls in place. But I love it for the little detail work .
My refreshes never look this good. Maybe I have bad technique, or no patience, but I just can’t seem to get frizz gone.
