Duo Kalulu & Tomori is irreplacable, with Pioli's strategy (high pressure and high line defence), explosive and fast CB is all we need. Kjaer will be a great back up but too slow for Pioli's strategy, tho Kjaer still better option than this kid. Gabbia also improved from time to time, let see if Thiaw can compete with others. he is 6.4 you are not getting him for speed but his physical presence even tho he is pretty fast for his height also being able to push the ball higher on the pitch is pretty much a must i dont why why you are talking as if thats a bad thing he will fit right in the system both tomori and kalulu like to do the same aswell
I also think he can be used as a difensive midfielder, as long as many other players in the team tight know that can play different roles. This is the new football era, fixed roles are an old thing

In speed he's not explosive like Kalulu and Tomori, but I like him in marking and he has good feet.
