Your living room has turned out lovely. The vision that you had and the forsight to be able to hold on the things for 2-3 years in advance is commendable. I'm so flighty with the things I purchase. If I connect with an item I buy it right away because it won't be at the thrift store for even an hour after a visit. Sometimes this leads to a hodgepodge of items. I make it work from vignette to vignette and from season to season. Just because I use something one year doesn't mean I'll use it the next. It may be 2-3 years before I'm inspired to use the same item again and it will be used in whole unique way to me anyway. Storage does become an issue with decorating this way. If I didn't have an attic, it wouldn't be possible. If I had to describe my style it would be Eclectic with whimsy verging on cottage style but more of a modern European cottage style. A mouthful right? I'm a square peg in a round hole. It's not a perfect fit but works for me.

I love it, amazing what you can do with found treasures at a affordable price. It's so inviting & welcoming! Eclectic is what I call it, decorate with what you love & you love it. No one else lives there. It's your retreat & your families. I'm sure they are just as pleased.
