A trademark or patent doesn't prevent anyone from copying nor selling, as people can see the market always gets flooded with knockoffs. The question is do you have the power, money and resources to fight.
But what if it's the product that you believe is going to hit the market and yet you're at the beginning of your brand and just starting how do you find a manufacture and launch without being copied? I hope someone can give me their true advice of how to take steps in that case
I also am starting a brand and was worried about this. What I did was send the manufacturers a confidentiality agreement to sign saying they won’t replicate/sell the design to anyone else. They can go against this of course but I think it’s a good place to start and then get into IPs and trademarks when you can. At the end of the day, in this space copying is very common but as she said just keep innovating! Do not let that stop you from launching.
@@Ashleighdaisy That's very smart because I read from a blog to not let the manufacturer sign this NDA which is the same as you said but your did the best to your interests they wouldn't have any shame copying or protecting their rights so should we, THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP!!! what she said is so true I totally agree but it ust those ideas I have in mind are my hit I feel and at the beginning someone will have very big leverage and I'm giving them my chance I hope you get to the best places you seem a very strong brand owner.
I really what to know if she could go back in time….. would she have put money towards trademarks since it was stolen anyways and no one listens to SD letters. And put that money towards inventory and marketing instead. Were the trademarks even worth it.

Interesting and very helpful advice - especially keeping on innovating and creating than spending time on chasing copying. Still hard to do!
