- When I saw this yard. I went and knock on multiple houses if they knew who owned it. But none answered their door, so I scheduled it to take care of it. When I started working on it, One of the neighbor came up to me and told me that the owner passed awhile back and no one had been keeping up with the lawn. He had been reporting it to the city but still no one came and cut it. Even though the owner had passed this property still got a ticket on the door. I took me 4 hours to clean this whole thing up. Backyard gate was lock so this is only for the front yard'

Again you show how much you care for your community. As said earlier, to bad the neighbors don't occasionally pitch in 30 minutes to an hour showing respect for their neighbor who is no longer on this earth. 😊

Appears to me that it is useless contacting City counsel to do clean ups. Why pay rates when calls are ignored? Properties like this always make me sad. Sad that the owner passed, sad a once loved and cherished home is vacant, sad that there is no new owners who will cherish this home...yet.

I’m sure the City Inspector didn’t know the owner was dead but just following up on a resident’s complaint. Unfortunately, after spending 4 hours on the front, I’m sure the neighbor will complain about the back yard. So, the deceased homeowner will be charged for the fine. The fine will be added to the deceased’s property tax bill. It’s sad if the owner had no relatives but if he did, the heirs/owners will have to pay the property taxes (which will include the fine).
Good job Mr. Cris. I have some of those shrubs on a yard that I maintain and hate trimming them. They stink!

Hi Cris. Thank God for that Grass Catcher. Saves you from breaking your back raking an entire yard. A good purchase for sure. The yard looks real nice. Many have already said Why don’t the neighbours help out? My thoughts exactly. I share an area of grass between my neighbours he mows I mow we don’t care as long as it’s done. What’s even worse is that they all know that the person has died, really sad that they don’t just care for the lawn knowing that it’s vacant. Hopefully they will now .
