Don't throw away the wing tips! Bad Rick, shame on you, no broth for you! You marinate and smoke tips just like the rest of the chicken, chop them in half then freeze (with all the other leftover bones, break/crack the bones to let the good stuff get out) until you have a decent pile-o'-bones. Toss into a pot, add 1-2 tbsp of apple cider/red wine vinegar depending on size of pot, add water until it covers the bones by an inch or two. Bring to a boil then turn down heat to simmer and let sit for 10-12 hours until it's reduced by 1/3 to 1/2. Strain then store/freeze the broth. This works great with an Instant Pot (hundreds of recipes online.) I used to do this with leftover KFC bones, makes for a great broth. Now put those wing tips into the smoker, Rick!
