I was watching soul eater a few years ago and my grandma passed away, and it was really sad so whenever i listen to this ending, i always get sad remembering the whole funeral and stuff we had for her.
I was busy watching sandokan one day when my cousin switched the channel and put Soul eater, i didnt know what anime even was, only anime i watched at that time were sandokan, fist of the north star, bleach, FMA, Olive and Tom, Goldorak, DB, Then Soul eater hit me like a friggin rollercoaster
Doing a rewatch now and have big love for the music but more than that the art in this ending-- noticed that a few artists are using something other than black for outlines and in characters it adds a bit of ethereality and otherworldliness. Also, it's cool how it's updated to reflect the episode-- Child!Maka and Crona, etc. Very cute.
This ending is so underrated. It just sets a really great mood with its simplicity and this awesome music and the perfect transition and very good animation on Maka. It has the most visual pop out of all the ending animations and it just warms the heart better than any anime ending that tries similar things (there are a lot of simplistic anime endings focused on girls that came out after this anime so this was likely one of the trend setters).
This is giving me massive memories when I used to wake up early and watching this on netflix on my apple TV, ahhhhh those were simple times, keep in mind i was like 13 at the time.....it was 2014 soooo
