This is good information to know and keep in mind but the most important thing to remember is that maple is a game not a job, it's totally okay to waste mesos doing dumb shit, don't force yourself to not cube if you enjoy cubing. Slower progression is better than burning out because you're not having fun.
This. Saving for half a year for a specific event is dumb ass hell. Just go for some power increase, clear your dailies and bosses faster + maybe get a new one down. Much more fun
Upgrade gear attempts are mood dependent. For me, blowing 10B randomly and getting no gains is extremely less rage inducing than blowing 100B+ and getting no gains on an event you saved for.(speaking from experience)
Event rewards are so nice and helpful for the most part. It just really sucks in this case because now I have a bunch of cubes and stuff that I'm either waiting to claim because there is nothing worth using them on right now and I don't want to start the timer on them, or ones that have already been claimed that I just might as well use since they're going to go to expire anyways. I just want to use my items when I actually wanna use them..... Tbh I'm not even sure that i'll have something to use them on by the time the event ends lol.
Could you do a video commenting on how much of a difference various milestones will make? I know it's somewhat different for each person, but as an example: How much of a difference does going from 12 star to 17 star make? What about 17 to 22? How much of a difference does a liberated weapon make? How much will a player "feel" the difference between having epic gear vs unique/legendary gear? Not necessarily the hard numbers, but the subjective experience of "wow I feel twice as strong" or "that felt like a very minor boost". As always I appreciate the stuff you already make, have a great day and a great 4th my man.
Star force: 10 vs 12 vs 15 stars won't really feel significant (~3 all stat per star). 16 makes a difference because you start getting 10+ all stat and actual W/MAtt per star. Pushing CRA to from 15>17 might not sound like a big deal, it's only 6 stars after all, but that's ~60 all stat and 57 attack -- huge! That's like bossing with a red pot and Legion's Might coupon. You can imagine why having full 17 starred equips (across 18 equips) is kind of a big deal. Suddenly, you can party for Hard Lucid/Will + CTene and start earning your Arcane Umbra weapon/armors. 17 is a pretty nice place to settle down, mentally. There are actually other milestones: 17>19, 19>21, then 21>22. BECAUSE you should be starforcing only on event, which is every 2-3 months, you will absolutely notice because your power suddenly spikes. Suddenly, your burst is doing too much damage and you have to re-strategize how you time your fights (most notably in phased bosses like Will, Gloom, but even Lotus/Damien). With better planning, suddenly you and your party mates are transitioning from 6 man parties to 3 -- which implies a doubling of power. IF you starforce off-event, you will still make gains but it won't be as noticeable because it's not a spike. This is kind of like when you start levelling up your V Matrix or Hexa Matrix -- hard to notice day-to-day but objectively measurable if you were tracking it. As for Epic vs Unique+ gear, here are some observations: Every time someone smegas a Legendary 3 lined Secondary or Emblem, take a look at how much it increases your range. In my experience, not a lot, maybe 5-10%. Certainly not as much % gain compared to the 50+ BILLION you're expected to spend on those. This is subjective, because it depends on your existing stats. I already have 2L Legendary W/S/E. I also noticed that when I gained starforce, aka gained Att from SFing, suddenly 3L Emblems/Secondaries are increasing my range by 20-25%. When someone smegas a 22* 3 lined armor/accessory, shockingly sometimes the range gain is DOUBLE. Meaning that single item is worth more than your entire equipment setup. THAT's how powerful starforcing is.
One of the biggest questions I ask myself the most is, "Is this going to help me progress into my next goal ideally?" I.E. Will it take me from pugging my v.hilla to duo/trio v.hilla? If yes, when is the next event? Can I wait that period? IF YES, patience is KING! If the event is too far away, it is almost more than worth to expediate my progression. Utilizing calculators will help estimate your progression probability too! As others have said as well, do whatever it takes to have fun.
I made the mistake of cubing my 3 sup gollux pieces to 18*, 27% stat, and 4% all stat flames or so. But I do have a few spares on them all, but to recube and reflame is gonna take awhile LOL.
at the end when you talk about double priming without 22*, are there exceptions to this? ex. for my main my arcanes are sitting at 21* but thats mostly just since i don't have the spares and i also only hit them on events so in the meantime assuming my income is high would it be correct to go for more end-game flames and double primes as long as i saved enough meso to 22* on the next event?
along the same lines of double priming gear some people need to learn where to star force too. i know some people who only have 17 and 22 star gear, because they think they next step 100% of the time on every item is 22
Good to know about investing too much into Absos. I’m still unsure about when to get into lucid and will parties for arcane pieces tho, considering my hyper burn character is pretty new.
Fairly new to the game, would it be worth taking Sup Gollux to 17* at the very least before working on fodder to pass over to it? Mainly still doing solo progression and just trying to make sure I don't make any huge mistakes with the Gollux equips
Totally a noob question. As someone who is mostly 17-18 star with faf at 20. Can items at 20* go down in starring? Someone told me that once you hit 20 you can’t go back to 19, but you can boom the item. So if I have faf at 20, is it worth pushing to 22 next event (permitted I have the mesos lol)
Droped my first superior gollux belt yesterday and star forced to 17 and cubed it direct to legendary. You need to be faster with those kind of videos man 😭😭😭😭😭
Lol its fine. Just make sure your next gollux belt is what you try to 22 and only then make it legendary. You may even want to pause at 21* and then work on 3rd belt if you want to play it safe and not risk it.
@@yummydespair3130 You have one belt for wearing, another belt for starring higher since there is a potential the item booms you dont want to be without a belt on due to stat loss. That way if you are waiting for another superior gollux belt to restore your boomed 21* you're attempting 22* on you still have the first on that is perma 21*. Would definitely be something to consider only once you're deep in.. which you would have to be for 21* xD
100% make sure you transfer into the SPARE when you try to 22 it. On shining I had 2 spare pendants, transferred into my legendary one and blew it up twice and had to settle on a new 17. Just that it was now epic 😂

Whats double priming
It means getting the max amount you can from a potential, for example getting two 13% attack on your weapon
Can anyone explain what double priming is exactly, i tried googling it but im still kinda confused 😭
12 12 9 potential instead of 12 9 9
