On Danzig not taking Kulm: it is polish culture, and if you vital intrest Kulm and get the occupation for yourself, they tend to give it to you. Also splits the AE between you and them a little. Seems to raise the odds they fully annex a bit, but of course they could do the ai thing and still leave them somewhere else
It should be prussian confederation tag and not danzig. Because Danzig was but one of the cities of prussian confederation. Largest, yes, but other included Konigsberg (sic!) and Elbląg and these werent small either
It is a bit of a shame that Danzig/Tuchel, or Gdańsk/Tuchola are not `Kashubian` provinces, because I think that was a historical reality back than and is right now to a lesser extend. Maybe province like Stolp could be a Kashubian one, or there was a trigger that if Poland takes it the culture goes back to Kashubian, as I think the region was in transition from Slavic identity to Germanic, not fully German just yet. I actually checked some articles about it and it looks like it is fair to say that Stolp region was Kashubian at the start of the game, but was undergoing transition to Germanic identity. I think the same could be said about Lower Silesia (Głogów/Legnica on the Eu4 map), region was undergoing transition from slavic to germanic which I think would be an interesting mechanic to add to the game. Another region in which it would be a great addition would be Anatolia were at the start of the game most costal provinces were Greek in identity but they were starting to lose their identity.

THANK YOU LUBI - every other person I've seen do a guide has gone the other way with that first mission and you just get sooo many negative modifiers vs the AMAZING rewards from the little kings uprising event, literally cannot understand why anyone would not go with the way that gives them bonus gov cap and the ability to revoke any estate privilege regardless of influence for the whole rest of the game, you can basically just wipe ALL your freaking privileges the day before absolutism kicks in and go brrrrrrr

Hey Ludi just a little note, as proud Polish Tarkov player i must say Danzig always done this with Kulm because its the only province in Teuton land that culture is Polish and way to avoid it is to set this one province as a province of interest and when they get 100% they always gave this province to you as a Poland and full anex Teutons. Big love from Poland, in a lot of countries they don't teach about Polish history well because it could put their country at bad sight or the history is simply hating us, we just want to leave peacefuly and rational where our views are respected. Its imbossible to avoid those new times, new generations but even If 80% of the world will for example do everything they want in the future, without any rules, traditons, religion etc. or if everybody will know nothing bout a Poland history, its ok for me, just let us live and do our thing because of that people maybe will see in us something more than just poor alcoholics or some "noname" not important country without history. It all started in 966c.a. so it was a long yourney.
Im worrying about my country, we have a lot of bad people but that is like something inevitable everywhere.
Im sad because of the direction which the world goes, I feel like our nation is living endless fighting life. Maybe not with other people now but fighting inside ourselves, we have a really strong mentality and a lot of wisdom from elder parents, grandparents, great history, tradition, families.
The "modern" side of Poland and most of other countries in the world are ruining it with new order.
I think everything will be good, remember this words when the world will come to the limit of madness, there will be a lot of Polish people which was mamy times insulted and ridiculed just exploding with truth and will be able to give their lives for it.

@27:28 Danzig almost never takes Kulm, you need to get it as province of vital interest and they will give it to you, and take the rest, making tutons gone
What also would be a cool video/series is if you would show nations that profit from ideas that are not common to take.. it is a bit boring to always go aristo and then influence or diplo and so on. Maybe you could show some interesting idea combos that make for a fun play with some nations :)

there should be a button that automatically improves relationship with nations, until they wont join the coalition after the peace deal.
In the diplo tab of the macro builder you can set diplomats to increase relations with angered nations, it’s not perfect but I leave one or two on there and it helps get small nations out of coalitions
@@burtreynolds8030 i know, but if i could improve before peace deal rather than after, iwould only need to improve relations until it stays above zero after the peace deal.
Small tip, you can keep a rival slot open and wait for union event so after a month tick you can rival novgorod for free pp since moscovy will dec them early on and usually dont focus fort on border and novgorod so you can yoink it easily (need to wait for mission that gives claims as well though)

Hi Ludi I have few suggestions., If you dont want border gore with Teutonic Order. You need to give interest with red colour in Kulm. In this case Danzig will always give you Kulm. Early game it's good burn capitals or area till you will have 40 development in Cracow. It's easier if you have Burgundian succesion. At the end you have Revival of Cracow mission which gives trade depot in 15 th century and 2 production more. If somebody have problems with Hungary liberty desire. Good idea is giving them Walachia and Bosnia lands. Lithuania can have 59 cities . You can give them 10-13 cities and at level 8 or 10 anex them I prefer to choose in Development Ruthenia mission this juicy 10% development bonus and another 10 from Golden Era. It's very cheap to develop all Polish regions. Poland is really fun country.

Chance go general dying doesn't depend on age at all. And a ruler/general makes the normal ruler check and the normal general check each month. So being only 17 doesn't protect you from that general check. Though at least generals (including ruler/generals) don't actually get that check for their first 5 years of being a general.

27:36 they always do, thats why i still reccomend attacking teutons at the beginning, between union wars for example. And take this one province kulm/chełmno from teutons.
You can also just become emperor and join hre that way
Instead of burning the dev you can sell provinces to Lithuania as you will get them back anyway. It hurts your prestige thou so depends on your situation :)

This game puts the reality on its head. Privileges for nobility were the fuel for the king's elections. Kings in Poland were elected and without right of succession so this means 1) no chance to get elected without promising some new privileges 2) as a elected monarch without right of succession you don't care that privileges are timeless, neigher you or your heir will have to deal with them.
Can also give the provinces you take back to Lithuania, then inherit them later for free when forming the Commonwealth early at tech 8 ^.^

@ludiethistoria i know you do this for a living and obviously dont have time to go beyond the vids, but do you also always get so bored after having established your powerbase? i pu'd france, portugal, spain and the brits in that order as naples while breaking and annexing anatolia and expanding into westafrica, but it was just too easy. and what i dont really get because you never cover it, but when you go for extreme expansion like roman borders castile 1500, do you ever go way beyond 120 overextension? and how do you get the money for the courthouses that early? cause that early, isnt there just too little money to get to counter gov capacity?

When it comes to Kulm not taken by Danzig - Kulm has polish culture and its better to mark it as vital province of Poland, occupy it and theres ~90% chances, that Danzig it will give it to You :) otherwise theres 90% that they left it for Teutons.

Answer: Start as Sweden, get the Caroleans gov reform, culture convert to Polish, form Poland, culture convert back to Swedish… then you get Caroleans + Winged Hussars together in your army 😈

I'm not getting restoration of union CB on bohemia, only on Hungary... I scornfuly insulted them, made a rival and I get restoration cb on Hungary and permament claim on bohemian lands...
