Very cool to see an EM table this late into the game. I guess it comes down to what people still had in the pipeline when SS tables were coming around? Could also be what the manufacturers or designers had to work with. That way the table is set up looks eerily familiar but I can't put my finger on the comparison.
You could be right Dom! They might have planned out this table for some years before its release and decided to still go with it even as the Early Solid States were being released by other manufacturers. So like you said, instead of just stopping the assembly or halting production, they just continued with its release. I think other pinball companies were in the same boat and some decided to stop their later EMs in favor of Solid States. Glad that they still decided to release this one!
Happy you like it so much- thats our goal. Will look into making the kickout light a little brighter. Thanks for the review and watch for more EM Underdogs releases!
Do you by any chance go by Cliffy on the forums? Haha I just remember your profile picture for some reason. Big thank you to both of you and anyone who works on these amazing tables! I wasn't sure if I had to change anything in the DIP settings to earn the extra ball but I just didn't see the light. Will keep my eye out as always!
@@NewLeaf88 Yes sir same moniker in the real pin world :) The extra ball light WAS indeed to dim so the intensity has been bumped up. Watch for a 1.1.1 update shortly and thanks again for finding that!
Haha yeah drop targets are a lot more satisfying to hit I must say! I don't know for sure but maybe the reasoning for standup targets was for reliability purposes (I could be wrong though). I was thinking how cool would it be if they made a modern version of this table with a Juke Box included for songs lol.

You're probably thinking of it's sister table Rock Star
Wow, I didn't realize Blue Note had a sister table. That's pretty cool actually!

A version 1.1.1 of this table was released where the Extra Ball light is a lot brighter, more visible.
Noice, thank you Dorothy. I'll have to check that out! Glad they fixed it too.
Looks fun, although it would be a bit cooler if they had drop targets instead of standups. But hey it’s 46 years too late to change that lol.
