Rob Hubbard the best 8-bit music composer by far, sadly he only made a few atari 800 tunes...
I could listen to this forever and ever. ❤️
I love this music. I used to have my computer 'Atari 800XL' with floppy 'Atari 1050', cassette recorder 'Atari 1010', printer 'Star LC-10' and 4 joysticks 'Competition Pro'. It was the best time with computer club!!! Later the best 'Amiga 1200' (AGA, 2 MB) with memory expansion 2 MB (total of 4 MB) and battery for time/date, also with internal hard drive 80MB.
świetne czasy , muza w warkhawk świetna !!!
One of the best Atari 8-bit tunes.
Unknown Planet" by John Keating.....the inspiration for this tune.
i see almost no similarities?
^ You never watched up to 1 minute
Also, it's a great tune. Love it.
Correct, it was bits of Unknown Planet mashed up with bits of Space Agent (both by John Keating)
That is more than inspiration, it is mostly based on it actually.
Like it. SID and POKEY both had a lot more "bite" than other, more socially acceptable soundchips.
Rob Hubbard did a cracking job of the Atari version of this I always preferred it to the C64 version. I know SID can do "proper" synth sounds and Rob preferred it and the Atari's sound is more basic waveforms but it just sounded cleaner and more rhythmic to me for this one.
Pokey has a High Pass Filter and it can emulate saw-tooth waves..check the samples on my channel.
Pamiętam tę grę !!!
Holy shit, the flashbacks! Rob Hubbard!
You could change the direction of the parallax scrolling star-field by pressing Option and Select if I recall correctly. I used to do it in time to the tune.
I used to do exactly that, too ;) Those were the days...:)
Same here! Still do😁
i love this song, it's my favorite
Co tam tak warczy😊 to traktor jedzie 😆
of course this is absolutely amazing
I think this version is better than the C64 version.

You are right! *Fantastic effects !*
C64 one is better imo, but this is a decent version for sure.
You was absolutely right. Thank you for telling me this. Cheers.
😎
zajebiste!
amazing !!!!
I had a program that I could fuck with atari songs and this one just blew my mind!
Soeone totally should make a rock/metal cover of this like they did with Draconus music.
Awesome music - deeply average game! Even for a masterchronic £1.99!
Great! One of my most favourite soundtracks on my Atari :)
What emulator did you use to record this? The sound is pretty clear and time-consistent, without disturbances, which is somewhat rare in emulators because of POKEY's complexity and Rob Hubbard's artistic playing with its registers.
I still have my Atari 800XL but it is more convenient to use emulators nowadays to run something from that era ;)
Better than c64 version in my opinion.
Just only in playable
C64 is a little better composed about soundtrack. But atari is not bad for nothing.
Behave.
Atari is more playable but the graphics are so terrible. Definetly Atari can do it better with no envy to c64 for nothing. I want a remake of this gameon Atari 800 xl.
Amazing that this track on the Atari was better than the C64 version. A little too late in the Atari 8 bit life though.
i like this but it's missing that EXTREMELY catchy melody the c64 version had...
This! On the best part (imo) at 1:47 Atari version is not getting that extra rush like in the C64-version. Its good though, but C64 version is more catchy.
C64 is better but uh.. 64/10 I guess.
