i'm considering the traveler. it'd be nice to have collapsible but having a place to nest the pipe and spark arrestor, plus the ease of set-up seems better imo. plus the size is still small enough to be portable without sacrificing too much cook space. thanks for showing them al side by each. makes it easy to make an informed decision!
Such a great overview from someone who actually uses all the stoves. Thank you so much! I’m just getting in to winter camping and this is a perfect primer.
In depth, educational and very useful for anyone looking into buying a stove. Great job explaining all the types and differences. Thank you my friend. Love your videos
Very clear and concise. Great breakdown explaining window vs walls, when to use each. When you spat out the wall thickness of each... Wow very impressive overview.
A larger stove with less woodcutting is perfect .Would warm the smaller tent quicker. All the collection is awesome. Glass stove is nice watching the fire inside. The heat transfer theory is ideal for a hot tent.
Thanks so much for doing this instructional video! I've never done hot tent camping before and will be leaving for my trip soon. Great info to know, especially prepping the stove ahead of time. Great job, sir!
I’ve been looking at some of the “cheaper” alternatives and found they don’t come in that much cheaper as many of them come with a hefty shipping fee (at least to where I live, in Norway). Thanks for a thorough and helpful review of all these options.
My TimberWolf Special Lonewolf 902 Edition for 2021 arrived today. Very happy. The carrying bag is black canvas. Now just need to set the pipe and stove up and give a good burn.
When a video that is so thorough and broad ranging comes along I actually watch all the commercials without hitting skip ad unless of course it's for something non-related to camping such as E.D ads for men LOL, there by hoping that the publisher of said video receives more credit in some way great job lone Wolf
Absolutely loving your video's. Thanks for keeping it real, intelligent, informative and entertaining! Just ordered a Pomoly Dweller entirely based on your review. Keep up the great work. Your enjoyment of the outdoors is infectious!
Interesting video. Now I know why I was cold in my Tentipi with a woodstove. I sold the tent and am looking for the ideal hot tent for solo camping. Cheers from Norway.
Great review man this is the info iv been looking for, I hike and camp alot, and been looking into hot tenting to keep going all year, especially here in canada warm weather camping never lasts long, glad I found your channel!
I just recently (very recently) found your channel. Thanks for a great review of all the choices and factors in choosing the best stove for my use. I like your style in offering opinion and facts and letting us know which is which. I find your content easy to trust and subscribed based on the integrity of your reviews. Thanks for being the person we need to learn from about having the best experience we can have, when out there on our own, or with family/friends in situations where the right choice makes a difference. Thanks for your content. Cheers!
Very good points here. For my use I like the visuals of the Dweller as most of the time I'll be sticking all my gear in my old Range Rover but I'd like a T1 Ultra too at some stage perhaps.
Hii...friend It is wonderful to see these useful tools for camping, especially a small heater for tents..but unfortunately it is not found near me in my area and this is sad. What is important is success in your work, believe me, and I follow you every day... from Algeria.
Made a point to talk all about the heat transfer through the glass but barely mentions that it also allows the light of the fire out into your tent area which is very very useful. Personally i made a stove out of a 50cal ammo can for about 150usd and am currently working on a 40mm ammo can. Its long enough to put entire split logs youd get from the store into which is why i chose to build it after the 50cal can. I was able to build in 2 baffles aswell and it really seems to help with the back section from failing to burn. Really pulls in the air to the back
Wow... very informative and love that you had access to all these stoves to offer comparisons, thanks. I'm looking at the Dome X4 from Pomoly for my choice of hot tents... but like the costs of those smaller mini-brick stoves... but for sure undertstand that this will all be a larger area to heat up...ugh decisions decisons : )
Thank you for this video. It is very helpful! I eventually bought the Pomoly T1 stove regular but I will probably buy another one and get your signature stove with Pomoly. More power to you!
had to pop over to my account just so i could say thank you for doing this review will keep this info as i get my truck fixed up really liking that pomoly you're currently using
Hey brother, thank you for all your reviews. Love the info you provide without just skimming over the details like a lot of channels do. So I’m looking for 2 stoves. One would be for my short school bus I’m converting to an rv, it’s roughly 125 sf and about 6.5 ft tall, insulated. The main thing is getting one that’s going to keep the bus warm enough, and second would be how many times I’d have to fill it throughout the night lol. There were 3 from the video that looked like they might work, the dweller, the ultra, and that new double stack one. In your opinion what one would suit my needs best? The second stove would be for a small sauna and I’m not sure how the glass would hold up to water being splashed on it, if it might be better to stick to a small cast iron instead. The sauna will also be in the bus and doubles as a shower so the portability of these stoves is what caught my eye. And if I could possibly use one of these stoves to serve both functions that would be even better.
Thank u so much amaizing that u can talk about stoves for so long and manage to make in interesting, i was paing close attantion the whole video! Thank you
Thanks a lot man you made my choice obvious and reassured my thoughts ! i was wondering if a mini stove would be sufficient for a 2P Tipi style tent. i love to refer to your reviews, channel is one solid library of knowledge so please keep up the work! could you please do an in depth review for the new X-Ti, that would be awesome! Greets from Germany!
I installed a winnerwell nomad into my Airstream last winter works like a charm. I live in Canada where there is winter.enjoying your channel .New subscriber🙂
I have a canvas wall tent, about 12’x9’. Very heavy. Car camping only. Would a small, flat top, cast iron stove work as well or better? Plenty of room in an 8 foot pickup bed. Does the frost line act the same in this kind of tent?
Thanks so much Jeremy, really appreciate your in depth explanation, very helpful. My head was starting to spin with all the stoves that Pomoly has come out with within just a year! In the meantime I will use my Kni-Co stainless steel stove until I can afford a lightweight titanium for non-truck camping. I did not know that the heat transfer through glass instead of steel was greater, never had a fireplace. That is great information, thanks again. Hopefully my maiden hot tent voyage will happen this year and all goes well. Atb 👍🏕
Dirty Gear = Honest Review... I always question when people talk about products yet they’re brand new and never used 🤔. Subbed cause you’re not an NPC 🤪😂 awesome vid, loads of info. Happy Holidays 🤙🏽
Thanks for the great overview. Looks like I got lucky and I chose right, when I bought the T1 mini last winter, since portability and light weight are my main concern.
Idea. Maybe already thought of? Traveler stove. Adjustable legs or short and longer legs that can be changed out (wing nuts) if you want stove closer to ground.
Great video I can swear by and say steel and stainless steel stoves do hold heat but will not heat a tent in cold they will however hold heat and help in a small camper truck or rv anything insulated switching to a stainless instead of steel or titanium thanks
What an awesome video Jeremy! I am definitely a hammock dweller from here on out and have just started watching your channel. I never thought about crossing the threshold of hot tent camping until I ran into you! I am definitely eyeing the traveller stove and your signature series hammock tent from Pomoly now! I really hate what that other company did to you and especially their customers with those seamed in patches. That made up my mind about them immediately!
In a larger stove like the Ultra, can you cut round logs short and load them left-to-right instead of long-wise and light them in the back, causing the wood load to burn slowly forward, to get a really long burn time? Would that work or no? Just trying to maximize burn time and not have get up as often at night. I've seen this suggested for full-sized stoves for homes/cabins and wondered if possible? Maybe the Ultra is still to small to pull this off? Don't own a stove and trying to research it. Hope to pull the trigger on one and a tent soon! Good video. I have been binge watching a lot of you videos of late. Thank you for all of the great information!
Appreciate keeping it real and no hype, Im looking for a tent stove and tent and like the pomoly quality. I'm going carlife at the end of this month, excited, but still emerging from a health situation, so I need to stay warm. Im and trying to locate a used stove. If there is a place or someone here has extra to sell, I'm in the market. Thanks
Winnerwell have a 1kg stove that I'm very interested in, but the lack of glass concerns me. I wonder if i could replace the door with one that has a window
Ok so I'm looking at a hub fish house that actually has a stove pipe hole supposed to be used as either a hot tent or a ice fish house. The dimensions are 12x12 for the house fishing in temperatures well into the negatives and setting up north wood winter camping trips what would you suggest for Temps zero to negative 20
Hey man! Love your videos, what stove would you recommend for a larger bell tent? I want to try the Dweller, it just seems like it throws a lot of heat for winter trips
Still have a small potbelly for this winter but I'm going to try to get something like you have for your truck because I have a old Shasta camper that i attached to my one ton Ford dulley i love it but it does get cold when the fire goes out thanks again and peace out happy camping
Great learning tool! Good lecture! In your opinion what would be the optimum stove for the Pomoly Locomotive 20 interest of shape, dimension, and ease of loading with wood ?
I saw a video a few years ago that showed primary heating zones in various shaped structures like a cone a pyramid a box a dome etc ... funny part is a cone pushes heat low down sure and thus it gets hot easily .. by a dome tent actually makes air currents and adjusts the heat to an even temperature with the hottest portion being between the top and the middle .. NOT at the top as expected ... but below it ... a box house style heats the roof and slowly works its way down and a pyramid is similar to a cone except it only makes the heat flow in the top 1/3rd which means the bottom will be significantly cooler ... . as for the double floor or false floor ... removing ash away from your combustibles allows them to burn down fully at all temperatures and provides for easy clean up ... you can literally pull out the ash pan with the stove running and go dump it out in the snow and replace it and not need to let the stove cool disassemble half the stove and then got take the whole thing and shake it out to clean it ... btw any double floor stve without an ash pan that can be removed while the stove is in heat is a bodge job ... (bodge a job not done correctly but made to look good and get a job done with no added bonuses )
Hey so out of EVERY stove that you have used, which one would you have the most confidence in as far as its spark arrestor making absolutely sure that you won’t get any burn marks on your tent? Thanks.
Hello Jeremy, 1st of all: really great content and awesome footage!!! After watching your videos, i decided to go with an Pomoly T1 Mini + Stovehut 70. I have just received my T1 Mini. Shipping (CN to AT) was fast (7 days). So far nothing was missing or has been damaged during transport, but ... on many bends there are a lot of cracks (i guess prduction defect/incorrect processing). My worry is, that the hot/cold changes will increase those cracks and the stove will be unusable in short time. Do you also have such "bending-cracks" on your models? BR also a Jeremy XD

just ordered a Dweller, for emergecy use in my 30 foot rv trailer, if gas/power drops off, it will take less then 15 mins to install it
Awsome, perfect stove for that application
Perfect for my bike camper I’m building
Also alder wood doesn’t spark as much and is a quieter wood to burn
"They're thicker, they're stronger, they last a lot longer... Pomoly" Would be a catchy jingle for an advert.
Yeah I want to buy some now
Dude, you're hired 🤠🤠🤠
... Viagra jingle!
You're incredible at explaining things! Great breakdown!
Thanks
Thanks!!! Great points to consider.
I think titanium not holding heat is an advantage in that it’s going to cool faster for packing up.
just dont get it over 1000c ... they tend to melt around there lol

By far the best most comprehensive video on YT explaining all the things to consider when looking to purchase a wood stove. Excellent job and thanks
Thank you, im really glad it is helpful

I'd probably put one of those heat generated fans on top of it..maybe that would help the frost ring 💁♂️
Thanks for the knowledge knuts, great info

Just make one out of an ammo can/25 lb propane tank then. You could probably pick one up locally.
THANKS FOR SHARING ALL THIS GREAT HOT TENT CAMPING. THERE SEEMS TO BE A STOVE OR TWO FOR EVERY NEED.
My TimberWolf Special Lonewolf 902 Edition for 2021 arrived today. Very happy. The carrying bag is black canvas. Now just need to set the pipe and stove up and give a good burn.

Brilliant demonstration.
Thank you
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Your welcome.🙂

Appreciate the lesson on the heat dynamics on the shapes of the tents. Very informational.

Awsome 🇨🇦🙌😁
I have a canvas wall tent, about 12’x9’. Very heavy. Car camping only. Would a small, flat top, cast iron stove work as well or better? Plenty of room in an 8 foot pickup bed. Does the frost line act the same in this kind of tent?
Thanks so much Jeremy, really appreciate your in depth explanation, very helpful. My head was starting to spin with all the stoves that Pomoly has come out with within just a year! Have you had any warping? And do these ever go on sale?
Very minimal warping, far less warping than other brands i have used
Amazing camping stove video
Thank you very much
Great info! Thank you for such a well rounded know how!
Idea. Maybe already thought of?
Traveler stove. Adjustable legs or short and longer legs that can be changed out (wing nuts) if you want stove closer to ground.
Or even a bracket with several holes with a pin that locks legs at various angles?
Very possible
Wow...Great review tought me a lot! Thank you!

Great video I can swear by and say steel and stainless steel stoves do hold heat but will not heat a tent in cold they will however hold heat and help in a small camper truck or rv anything insulated switching to a stainless instead of steel or titanium thanks

Not sure if it's an issue for you but this would generate a lot of smoke
Why don't any of the stoves have like a ash pit or grade so air can get underneath the wood that's burning?

Hello. Do you have any suggestions on a stove for a DIY backyard sauna? Thank you!
great vid on stoves, ton of info!
Very good explanation!
Winnerwell have a 1kg stove that I'm very interested in, but the lack of glass concerns me. I wonder if i could replace the door with one that has a window

Which stove do you use in your pickup. Also, what cap did you use on your camper shell on top
Great learning tool! Good lecture! In your opinion what would be the optimum stove for the Pomoly Locomotive 20 interest of shape, dimension, and ease of loading with wood ?

.
as for the double floor or false floor ... removing ash away from your combustibles allows them to burn down fully at all temperatures and provides for easy clean up ... you can literally pull out the ash pan with the stove running and go dump it out in the snow and replace it and not need to let the stove cool disassemble half the stove and then got take the whole thing and shake it out to clean it ... btw any double floor stve without an ash pan that can be removed while the stove is in heat is a bodge job ... (bodge a job not done correctly but made to look good and get a job done with no added bonuses )
Hey so out of EVERY stove that you have used, which one would you have the most confidence in as far as its spark arrestor making absolutely sure that you won’t get any burn marks on your tent? Thanks.
Great video! Thanks.
Yessss! Great info, I greatly appreciate it!
Glad you found it useful 👍

Hello Jeremy,
1st of all: really great content and awesome footage!!!
