Pre-meditated murder. Tony Atlas deserves all the respect in the world. Not as a wrestler, but as a human being. I know Tony has known to embellish but I truly believe Tony was the only one with good intentions, did what was right and didnt give a f*ck as far as being attacked for helping Brody, being booked, his job etc

They were going to kill Tony too. I have heard Tony, Dutch, and Savio all state before, that Tony walked and stayed on the beach all night, until he could get out the next morning. All these yrs, and all of the videos of these 3 telling the story, it hasn't changed once.
Tony said that Savio was at the hotel and told him he had to get out of there because people were looking for him because he was talking about what happened.

Where I lived in New Jersey we got WWC on Saturday Mornings and I would watch with my Dad. We couldn't understand the language but we loved the shows. WWC was my introduction to Brody and Abdullah.

The Isaac Rosario Savio mentioned was a journeyman wrestler who worked in the States in WWWF as Pancho Valdez. He also worked in other promotions as Gypsy Joe Rosario. He passed away of COVID-19 a couple of years ago.

Savio Vega isn't IWA's sole decision maker. I guess he could do more to keep Invader 1 out, and I admit to not knowing who can overrule him now that Quinones is dead, but in WWL/Liga Wrestling Richard Negrin could overrule him on Invader too.
Exactly, and why doesn’t anyone bring this up more??? Savio still doing business with invader to this day snd he could have spoken up but he chose not to. Probably would have been killed.
Being from the St Louis area and brought up on Wrestling at the Chase, they always referred to him as King Kong Brody and he was here a lot, but so was Dick the Bruiser and i guess they didn't want any confusion.

In my honest opinion, things got completely out of control because the owners of WWC were not supervisng company,s events properly and always asked Invader for running the shows! Only God knows what really happened and only It will made the right judgment

Tony Atlas has said several times that it took almost 2 hours for the ambulance to arrive. Between the sold out wrestling match and the sold out Minudo show the entire area was in total gridlock. Also Atlas says it was just a bare van with no equipment and there was an old lady and an elderly man who drove the ambulance(no EMT).
They were going to kill Tony too. He was warned by Savio and left PR just in time. I wonder if they'll talk about that

Both of them knew how convenient he happened to be out of the room when it happened and he came back right after. Then dutch just happens to become big in PR. You tell a lie long enough even you start to believe it. I've always seen his role in it fishy if you look at everything. It's all just to convenient. If someone killed a friend would you go work there?

Around 1986, WWC finally came to my home town, Arecibo. That was my first live event. TNT had Isaac Rosario unconscious, due to the Cobra sleeper, & would no wake him up. The man sitting next to me pulled a long knife, & ran towards the ring, to help Rosario. Luckily the man was stopped by security. PS: that night Rosario also ripped our tickets at the entrance. That match is on TH-cam, but the hard camera was filming away from the knife incident.
What?? I was in PR in 86. I was 11 and in LOVE with WWC. I need to look this up.
OT being from NC the Youngbloods were huge here in the Mid Atlantic...no one ever really talks about them..
Didnt Dutch become the booker after Brody got killed
He booked early to mid 90s but he made sure he and invader didnt have angles together..he also booked for iwa which his booking brought monster ratings for a saturday afternoon program

Vega wasn't the only person who thought Bruiser Brody was beating Invader #1, and why everyone else thought that is that Brody had already beaten him up once and had even gotten into fights with Dick The Bruiser. Obviously, everyone was shocked to find Brody on the ground, instead of the other way around.

Us wrestling fans got cheated out of the greatest feud in the history of professional wrestling when Bruiser Brody passed away. Memories fade and we make false memories. I saw the interview of Savio with Jim Cornette and in thet one he claimed that Colon's tag partner was translating for the cops. This pissed of Colon and he said to Savio, "Does he want the same to happen to him?"

Yeah, no kidding on the false memories. It wasn't Carlos Colon who said that nor was it Colon's tag team partner. It was Invader's tag team partner who was translating for Tony Atlas to the police. Invader, Jose Gonzalez, was talking to Savio Vega going over the finish to the match and said that about Tony Atlas. The translator was Invader #2, Robert Soto.
I'm a non- wrestling fan I only watch these podcasts because it's old school wrestling. Dutch plays the dum hillbilly role maybe its the real him. I just don't see where he is all that good. And that dam cigar I'm glad he is well and make money off his business.
