I tried all these videos and tricks but nothing worked but I took a closer look at the actual bottom of the airpod. The problem wasn’t the charging case it was that the airpod had a slight film around the silver area on its tip. I gave it a wipe with an alcohol swab and now it’s charging!
i just got my new pods in the mail today, and the right side won’t charge unless i hold it down in the case.. i’ve tried the “forget this device” multiple times and it still hasn’t fixed it. i know it’s not dirty because i just got them today:( i’m at a loss
I've had this whole problem with the Pro conveniently from the moment I got the standard AirPods since September of last year. Tried everything but the issue has still been persistent. I got mine under a student deal but at such a high price point, this product is kind of a scam with these issues.
Man, that sucks Adam. I’d maybe look into Apples replacement program for AirPods. They have options available for faulty devices. You might be able to get them replaced for new ones! 🤞
@@Lukekellytech I will at some point, it hasn't been a huge priority since I have been using the standard AirPods without any problems but I like having the noise cancellation on the AirPods Pro.
Is there no sound when you connect it to a non apple device? (Android or older phone). I noticed sometimes my apple devices only play sound from one side but it works perfectly on a non-apple device.

Hey Justin, that's really weird. Can you check there's nothing at the bottom of the airpod hole? Sometimes lint and small pieces of fluff can get caught in there and stop the pods from snapping into place.
Same issue for me.. its been only 2 months i bought this Pro 2.. It’s very irritating.. i have to make sure that its charging.. bought something for 300+$ and this shit happens.. every day.. Only with right side only,, not properly charging inside the case.. stupid apple.. even the 10$ temu ones don’t have these problems.. very irritating.. And ironically India doesn’t have a proper service centre..
I disconnected my airpods now they literally wont connect.. orange light flash, then solid orange then it goes away. I was afraid to do this bc this was what happened last time. I dont even remember how it got fixed… but now i cant use the left OR the right one. Thanks..
Have you got a friend's airpod case you could test to see if your airpods are charging? Normally an orange light indicates that there's a problem with the battery. It might be something simple like a faulty charging case

Is the left working at all though? Mine did a similar thing.. I had to go to settings, and make sure the sound was not balanced all the way to the left.

Forgetting, and re-pairing the AirPod Pros 2 did start my left bud charging. Hopefully it will go to 100%. One question on the canned air. I noticed you held up a can of WD-40. I didn’t think that was the same as canned air. Whenever I use it to stop a squeaking door or hinge, there’s always a little oily residue on my hands after spraying. Are they interchangeable in spraying air?
that’s the same issue with mine both airpods are 100% but my left one will not play anything and when i put it back into the case the light on the charging case doesn’t flash to indicate it’s charging
Thanks! So I tried everything, and then contacted Apple support who asked to visit the store. Store guys said left airpod is defective and needs replacement. Then I used a small brush and cleaned the little hole just as you said. And voilà, it worked! Those Apple store guys are really a dumbasses!

Pushing them down to get the green light was exactly what I'm experiencing, so thank you for getting me to the next step of troubleshooting

My right side doesn't work, also the magnet doesnt grip the rigt side airpod inside the case. Still cant find what the issue is.

Just got them today and the R earbud won’t work, charge, or even be acknowledged by the case. I tried all these methods and still nothing. 😢

My airpods pro case wont even detecte my left airpod , its like I didnt even put the airpod in the case ( it doesn’t blink)
I've had the same thing happen to mine! Check the pins are bent in the bottom of the case.. that can sometimes be the issue.

Sounds like your case might need a battery replacement. Put your AirPods in a friends case and see if they charge or not.

I’m a bit late, but their still not connecting. This only happened when I temporarily lost my right, and my left when haywire from then on.
Is the left working at all though? Mine did a similar thing.. I had to go to settings, and make sure the sound was not balanced all the way to the left.

@@JD21050 so in settings on your MacBook, go to audio, there’s a slider that lets you move audio left or right. Try moving it to the middle.

WD40 makes compressed too 😊 don’t use normal WD40 or it will wreck your headphones
