I've been playing guitar for almost 3 years. I know drum playing is also not easy, it requires alot of practice. My question is guitar playing is a journey, we need to under the theory n all. But not in case of drums. So how much time it would require to under the concept of drum and time signature?

Hi i have been drumming for about a week and can play all the beginner beats and am getting used to drumming but i am right handed and i hit the hi hat with my left and and snare with my right I’ve tried switching but it doesn’t seem natural.
