Nice setup & runs! 😎 👍 I have the v1 & that raz set you mentioned is indeed extremely helpful! I was just checking out those cnhl 4S batteries this week but the 6600 ones cuz they still don't have stock on the 8000 ones yet, I need a new 4S pair for the limitless. Glad to see they can put out nicely, even at that mah! Fyi, if you're not doing it yet, warm up the lipos to about 120F. It will reduce your voltage sag giving you those extra mphs! 😎 👍
Thanks. I’m looking a different set of 4s lipos. Those cnhls aren’t terrible but I’m getting too much voltage sag, along with ripple voltage. SMC SRDs or ONYX. Need something that’s going to do a better job sustaining that voltage. It’s costing me power.
@@speeedy_rc yeah, batteries & esc is where it's all at lol. High discharge rate lipos with high mah. SMC's are definitely great, that's what I'm running on my stretched Typhon 6S, a pair of 3S DV, extreme 6900mah/ea in series. Just pushed it to 131, my pb so far. I posted the run a couple of weeks ago. With the mamba x8s, you're definitely going to need a cap pack for the ripple, that's one thing I love about the xlx2, no need for a cap pack. Curious, what was your voltage sag for that run on 8S?
@@rcbustanut2057 Sag is pretty drastic at around 23-24v after warm up. Definitely going for the XLX2 vs dropping in a cap pack. Will need it for the future anyways since eventually I want to go 1721. I’ll take a look at the Typhon video. Think it’s more impressive getting a buggy to those speeds.
@@speeedy_rc yeah, that's going in the ~2.87 to 3 vdc per/cell. That's getting into the cell damage zone. Makes me a bit nervous once the cells drop any lower than 3.1vdc, you risk damaging the chemical structure of the lipos. And batteries ain't cheap 😂. Lol, I know it sounds crazy, but I actually find the buggy easier to keep straight on the road than my limitless 🤣🤣. I get nervous everytime I bring the limitless out! She has a thing for poles 😂
Super nice build brother!!…. That car looks so nice going by… you’ve got her sorted!!… straight and fast!!…. Hopefully my driving skills will get to the point where I can justify a limitless build!…😂
No issues with the 12 gauge wires on these packs? I just got a pair of them and I’m worried about the 12 gauge wire. What connector did you use on them? Thanks!
Yes sir. I think GRPs are great but they have their issues. They’re still capable of going even if they’re wrapped as what happened to my vendetta. It’s just one of them things that comes with speed running. I will be switching up to foams after I try to go for the 140s with my 38t here soon. Good luck with your build!!
hi i want to run my 2200kv tp 4070cm with a xlx2 on 8s( with a 8s ripper killer cap pack). And i need some lipos. I see you are using cnhl 10awg wire for your lipo, the rest i guess is 8awg. I know that 10 awg produces more ripple voltage but is it really that big diffrence for my set up. Or should i save my money and purchase the lipos with 8 awg wires. Iam also using QS8S connector
The thicker gauge wire will definitely be helpful Azure has great lipos then run a thicker wire at a great price. SMC and onyx are the top lipos for speed runs but they tend to run more expensive for their speed run packs. Try Azure, you definitely won’t regret it.
dude....you gotta go down to a 34 T spur ! and run it with a 36T pinion gear ! that shouls give you 150-160 mph with that motor and esc with a 6S SMC 5800 mah ...and 170 -180 mph on 8S with your 2x4S bateries
I was thinking about taking it back out now on 8s again to get another run on the 34t as I had some significant improvement on 6s. I’ve been getting some nasty ripple voltage, so it required me to gear down since I’m not running some higher mah 4s lipos, but I’m sure it’s got a 140 pass in it.
Esc fan should be a rocket fan. The 50mm.if your using the xlx2. Amazing fans for the price. And two rocket fans eith heatsink on the motor. Itll help a ton. Even if you bash it and it still gets hot itll cool in like 2 or 3 minutes instead of 10 to 15 minutes
Nice!!! The limitless is just the ultimate car, the handling is bananas
When it’s setup right it gives you an abundance of confidence at high speeds

I think it's time for you to start looking for a fan or two to put on your motor and it's never a bad idea to upgrade the esc fan while your at it
Great spot for runs but those poles you hit are something that would make me find a new spot
I think 140 would be a sweet spot for the last pinion drop-in.

Hey whats the awg on those black cnhl batteries. I can only find them in 12 gauge. As a matter of fact cnhl batteries are getting scarce all together.
these are 10awg, but if you filter by wire gauge you should be able to find some. But yeah, theyre selling out state side.
