I created this video to test my dog ... But he still will not howl -!!
But it does work on my friends dog !
Here is a test for your dog. Only on this channel will you find this test that combines six dogs into one video.
On this video :
I have recorded 6 dog breeds howling.
I will play each sound 3 times -
- Then all in one mix at the end - this could get your dog howling !
For best results play this through your TV or a Big Speaker so you can hear the full range of sounds,
*smart phones and ipads won't play the deeper tones of sound. - your dog may know !!

Howling is one of many forms of vocal communication used by dogs. Dogs howl to attract attention, to make contact with others and to announce their presence. Some dogs also howl in response to high-pitched sounds, such as emergency vehicle sirens or musical instruments.
Why do dogs howl? It starts with wolf ancestry, but there are many reasons why dogs howl. Let's review some of the reasons for a dog howling right here.
Researchers believe that dog howling is bound up in dog genetics. The ancient dog breeds are recognized for how closely their DNA matches that of the wolves from which they descended. When answering the question, “Why do dogs howl,” we have to examine the following questions, too - Is dog howling an atavistic expression of a shared wild ancestry? A lingering vestige of wolf times and pack activity? Communication seems to be at the heart of things, so let’s seek to answer the query, “Why do dogs howl” - and find out what they might be saying.

Wow! My Staffordshire Terrier watched this video several times and never made a peep. He barely barks. I always record him watching tv because I think it's adorable. I put this video on to calm him down when he's hyper, and I was in shock the day he tilted his head back and let out a proper and long howl. I am so lucky to have captured it on video. I don't know if he will ever do it again. I have to say, it gave me goosebumps! ❤

Holy Smokes! I have two lab-hound mixes and a Yorki.
The foxhound started the reaction, I had to stop the video during the chiwawa. All three were in full throated howls and my wife was upstairs howling too 😂

I have a chihuahua and that I know she has never howled in her life and we have had her basically since she was born, and when I put the video she looked at me and at the wall I think wondering if I had the dogs trapped somewhere and where could they be but maybe this happened because she was biting the towel where she was sitting in odd right Like if your dog didn't howl at all.

I’ve tried SO many sounds to get my dog to howl. Other dogs, sirens, car horns. Every time, nada. I’ve only heard him howl once but he stopped when I came into the room. This FINALLY did the trick! Really got him going and when I howled too, it egged him on. Nice!!!

My pittie and my grandma's shih tzu just barked rather than howling, but funnily enough the shih tzu got real worked up over the wolf howl- absolutely ready to fight it!
Worked perfectly! My dog was just confused at the beginning, but then started howling when you played the mix of all dogs. It did help that she knows the command "speak" so she kinda knew what I wanted her to do.

Thank you , I love that you did this, it got my 12 year old chiuahua attention she looked up but no howling ,she doesnt bark unless strangers knock at door. And she chokes on water I adopted her 6 months ago . Her mom passed away and her and her sister were split up and I am tryinh to help her get over being sad.

It worked for my Chihuahua! He was doing the head tilting for the longest time and then let out this low growl howl. It was kind of creepy, funny and unexpected at the same time lol. I didn't think he'd do it but he did at the end when they were all mixed. Im going to record him next time

Siberian Husky - 6 years old - she did not howl to any of the animal sounds, she did stop what she was doing to listen when the wolf came up but that was it, she does howl when I howl- interesting video!!! Love!
