I remember that comic when it first came out, and it got me too. Partly because there's always a chance of it happening in that line of work, and also because of the implication that Nick and Judy were extremely close. It's a shining example of bittersweet. Zootopia has definitely inspired a lot of people in various ways. I really wish they would make a good sequel.
Yeah it was one of the first fandom works I found after seeing the film for the first time in late 2020. I saw a YT video of it with a title that said 'VERY SAD' or something along those lines and unfortunately I didn't listen! Well I say unfortunately... It's a beautiful comic and Neytirix was one of the fandom's finest artist back when she was active I think but yeah it really did a number on me emotionally and I have avoided it since. JiD is another one that I read early but having got more invovled and invested in the fandom I'm not sure if I could manage that one anymore either. Agreed! One of the most dedicated and talented fandoms out there and the sheer quality and quantity of works that are still being produced to this day almost seven years after its release is just incredible. On a brighter note, with Zootopia+ having only released a couple of months back we are probably living in the most hopeful time for a potential sequel announcement since the initial release so here's hoping!
@@declanflannery7377 Have you read the Guardian Blue fanfic series? It's a long one, and still ongoing. I remember JiD as well. I think I've gotten more sensitive to the sad stuff as I've gotten older. I much prefer to see Nick and Judy together and happy, just being themselves.
@@Maxxarcade Yes! GB is one of my favourites, I've had the distinct pleasure of chatting with Alps a few times and he's an absolute gent as well as an incredibly talented writer. Speaking of that I may or may not be planning something this year, stay tuned! Yeah amen to that, like I say I read JiD when I was still getting into the world and fandom. The IP drew me in immediately but it still took me a little while to get as into it as I now am. I don't think I'd be able to handle it now. I love me some angst but I'm all about the comfort and happy endings to go with it whether I'm writing or reading fics! Any sort of MCD where they're concerned is an immediate 'nope!' for me these days!
@@declanflannery7377 One of my favorite things about that story was that even the OC's had appreciable depth to them. And his version of Jack and Skye makes them a lot of fun too. That craziness in season 1 with Judy's journey through the sewer would definitely be worthy of a musical score. I have some music equipment myself, but no talent to use it. I just like working on the electronics.
Yeah it's all incredible, the finale to season 1 had me on the edge of my seat as I read! Ah nice buddy, definitely give these things a go if you want. Talent is only a matter of practice and I'm sure you could come up with some great stuff 😁
Me when I saw the title: Isn't that the super sad comic I saw a while ago and it crushed my feelings?... Nah, this must be something else Me after hearing the first seconds of the music: Oh fuck... Jokes aside, absolutely beautiful mate! Excellent work!
Thank you sir, kind as always! :D Yeah it was one of the first Zoot comics I ever read and it ruined me emotionally! Neytirix has a great talent for it!
