- Today's video will be an extreme pantry organization where I show you realistic organization ideas on a budget. The before and after of our pantry was pretty drastic and is now super functional. It's nice to see someone organize their pantry without spending a fortune on bins. I love it. PS. I bake a lot and I keep my flour in the freezer. Also in each one of my containers, whether it's a bag or a container for sugar, baking soda, baking powder, powdered sugar, regular sugar, cereal. I put a bay leaf in each one. It is supposed to guard against any bug infiltration lol. I've been doing it for many years and so far so good. Thanks for the video

Absolutely love this pantry reorganization video!!! Realistic and budget friendly, yet it still looked beautiful in the end too. It feels doable for me now!!! The typical perfectly aesthetic (and expensive) pantry reorganization videos may be fun, but make the task seem WAY too overwhelming and daunting.
Great to see you use items that you already had. Didn’t make me feel pressured to go out and buy aesthetically good looking canisters and jars to organise my pantry. Very practical.

What a transformation on your pantry and I agree with others that I like the fact you didn’t spend hundreds of dollars getting it organized. I had one of the door organizers at my last house and it was great. I miss having a pantry, I still can’t believe the people who built this house didn’t put one in. Oh my goodness this was such a wonderful video. You really made something that feels like it would take a long time to do into something double that can take way less time. I loved that you used things you already had on hand and emphasized that you don’t have to go out and spend a bunch of money on fancy bins and containers. Loved this video! It’s called real life people! Lol not everyone has the money to go out and buy all matchy bins and containers. I do want a nice kitchen. An organized kitchen, so ty for showing us that our pantry’s can be organized and look nice without having to spend money. And loved that you showed the real life before pic too! Finally a pantry organization video that is practical and doesn't require investing in a lot of time or money. I have always done this....bought a few of those clear containers like you had and used baskets or canisters I had on hand to organize my shelves. My husband is very particular about how he keeps his own snacks, soups, etc. and really doesn't like organizational bins. So rather than get into a fight I let him stack his soup the way he wants to! LOL He does the cooking so he needs to be able to find what he needs. We don't do a lot of spices and to be honest, he keeps the shelves pretty neat looking. We don't have a lot of pantry space, but for just the two of us now, it is more than doable. I just said to my husband that I'm going to paint the pantry one of these days when my workload slows down and then I will clean it up a bit. I usually do that once or twice a year so things don't get out of control.

Jenna, great video. The before and after is a wow!! When we moved into our new home 2 years ago I wanted a pantry and I absolutely love it. It’s very close to the stove, like yours is. I also have the door rack with all my spices. Thanks for the tip with the tape. I’ve got a white gorilla tape that I’ll be putting to stop the movement when opening and closing the door. I put my paper goods on the top shelf. I also have on the floor 2 small trash cans for recycling cardboard/paper and plastic, bottles and cans. I always keep them clean by rinsing the cans, juice bottles etc. I like the cardboard box to keep your reusable bags, also the bowls for storing coffee pods etc. Great ideas. I will be getting that plastic bag organizer too. I’ve got space for that. Oh and I have a reacher grabber tool to get things that are too high (I’m short). There’s a hook on the side of my pantry for that. Everything has a home. My pantry is the heart of my kitchen. Thanks for always inspiring me Jenna.

Thanks for posting your “ before” pantry. It motivated me to get going on mine- I’ve been postponing it for too long! Fun seeing your beautiful self with the lovely home showing a “ real life” side of your life! I bet hubby will be surprised. Now, the goal is to maintain order. Have you seen those assorted-sized plastic food storage bags organized in one neat box, various sizes? They sell them at Target. You can also find wooden ones but the Target product comes with bags.

I love that you used what you already have without spending extra money. I have no pantry, I just have a cupboard in my small kitchen and like others no extra budget. I use empty mason jars from soup, and other jars with wide opening. I was them good and remove all labels. I put small pasta, pancake mix , nuts , raisins and I label them. I try to use bottles of the same size to look neat. Thank you for your inspiration.❤

I love how resourceful this was and that you didn't buy a clear bin or container for every single item! I agree about the spices too! I like to see what brand it is for repurchasing. I hate when I see videos and they have something for every pasta item, every cereal, every snack, etc. Takes so much time and effort and money to do that and it's unnecessary. I also think they're usually putting fresh on top of the older item to fill it back up. I do have a holder for rice, flour, sugar and beans. That's about it. I see people putting chips in 8 different containers and taking like all packed items out of boxes, etc. If that is gonna make someone happy and they have time prioritized to do that, more power to them, but as you showed, you don't have to. Thanks for showing how to only purchase a few items and otherwise use what you had to make a huge difference. Love the realness of your channel!!!!!!!!

What a great idea. Using items that you already had
I bought 2 of the same dog food bowl. I keep the second in the food bin to scoop a fresh dish and put the used in the dishwasher. Eliminates the need for a scoop. Super convenient and one less thing to wash.
I definitely know someone who I have not even seen her works and I can tell she is who I will look at to be my teacher, the pain behind language barrier and cultures is something no one can look back and be happy about it. I have you in my heart and mind since the day you were making us noodles fideo ❤️ First day I had a decent and home made meal.
So functional!! I keep my reusable bags in my car, and I've been just organizing my spices alphabetically, but now I think I'll try categories, too. Well done!

I love lazy-Suzan's (turn tables) I even keep one in my refrigerator to collect all the general items that seem to constantly get shuffled around, it helps and is so much easier to access all the items now

My 3 tips: Decant anything with paper on the packaging. My pantry got weevils during the pandemic and I had to go through the pantry over a few days and buy a heap of containers to make everything airtight. I’d actually gotten rid of a lot of the old containers as I didn’t use them once the kids left home. Only keep enough food in case of illness and you can’t shop but home delivery would offset that. I only cook once or twice a week so having a stocked pantry doesn’t make sense. Make some meals for the freezer so you don’t need to keep the pantry stocked up in case of emergency and don’t have to cook during that time.

I Love organizing. My one advice is to not overload ur door organizer with heavy items. I would put those on the top shelf in pantry. I have a similar pantry and it’s one of my fav features in a house.
Probably avoid putting the pasta jars on the door too heavy.. huge mess maker if it came tumbling down… spices are amazing.. you must be a great cook Jenna!

JENNA we have 3 of those over the door organizers. I bought super heavy duty double sided tape and used that to stop it from moving. This was perfect timing as I was about to go buy a million pretty glass canisters. TFS xoxo
Jenna, what a great way to utilize the pantry making the best use of your space with storage containers and alternatives that you may already have staying within a budget. The organization will avoid purchasing items you already have and help you shop the items you need. I agree with you on these fancy spice containers. I love to cook and have a huge inventory of different spices. Keeping the original containers helps with knowing what ingredients are in each spice jar. You don't want to cook for someone that may have an allergy plus the exp date is key. I don't want tovsoend the extra $ on spice jars. I'd rather put that $ towards better cookware, utensils etc. 👍🏼Jenna

you will not believe - - all the contents of my pantry is out on my counters- - - you just gave me great ideas.... i had thought to take out all the wire shelves & replace with wooden - plus ass a dresser & hutch - - (my pantry is fairly large - but a wasteland - much like your before) ... anyway scrapping the wooden ideas & simply going to reset it using some of your ideas... thank YOU !!!!

Looks good! Somehow pantries can get so crazy so quickly! I did a reorganization of our pantry about a year ago & it is standing the test of time! It certainly makes meal prep & unpacking groceries much easier!!!
3:59 just a thought but you could try museum putty to keep the rack from hitting the door lol worth a shot!

Jenna, thanks for all the great ideas!! I updated my pantry last weekend and after watching your video, I decided to go back and get a few more clear bins to organize stuff. I was like u I that I didn’t know what I had in my pantry so I would over buy and duplicate stuff that I didn’t know that I had. On thing I did use was reuse rectangular gift baskets to organize chip bags and stuff that is hard to corral. I also bought 3 tall clear bins to store flour, sugar and rice. Btw, I love your spice categories!!!

Here's an easy cookie recipe; one can of pumpkin, a box of spiced cake mix, and a bag of chocolate chips. drop on a cookie sheet and bake @350 for about 18 min.

Fun to watch. Oddly satisfying to watch you put the spices away! I think I'll do mine this afternoon. Pouring rain in California so why not! Also - what does the outside of the top of your pantry door look like when it's closed? How is it kept from not scratching?
I put a little piece of rubber mat under the bits that touch the top of the door and it stops it rubbing and moving but my hanger is on the under sink cupboard door.
