Don't forget to mention - even though E85 is cheaper your fuel economy is significantly reduced. In the Miata it would typically equate to about the same cost per mile

actually isn't that much worse if u got a good time. from personal experience at least.
30% more fuel, 30% lower mpg, 5000% more hp due to less possibility for early detonation. if u make ur own at home with yeast and sugar, u can make e95 or e100 on not put 15% gasoline in it. better hp numbers and homade gas for dumb cheap
jimmy rodrigues Highway cruising with a good tune it was pretty good for me, 25mpg compared to my normal 30-32. Mixed driving with pulls mixed in I was around 17mpg vs my normal 24. On my car personally it was close cost wise, but the range was so much shorter it was a hassle. Can't wait to have a proper Flex setup

These type of episodes are just showing how hard you can flex and it's kinda annoying
E85 may be 30% cheaper but you need 50% more of it
its actually 25% more, so he is paying slightly less per equivalent distance, but also making more power in the process.
Josh Hillard Using max power rich values: (6.975-12.00)/12 = 42% more.
My mistake, when i said 25% i was going by Energy Density. Idk how TJs tune is set, but given that he is running a blower with reasonable boost levels, he shouldn't be running rich as it's just a waste of fuel. Running rich is for running a turbo with high boost and lots of timing. Going by Max power lean values (8.46 - 13.23)/13.23 = 36%. He paid 31% more for 91, so all in all the difference is negligible.
Yep, I'd lean towards rich but that's just me haha. Point being, E85 is not cheaper than pump gas, but for how much power you can get out of it, it's definitely worth it.
True, but you still get much more power out of E85. Car guys don't run it for fuel economy, we run it for power. The fact that it's cheaper is off set by decrease in MPG, but it makes more power & it's safer, so it's still a win. 👍🏻
need an oil cooler cuz the oil temps gonna rise up faster when your drifting and an oil catch tank cuz inline 6 creates alot of blowby at high boost. you dont want that going back to the head it will destroy your motor. last you need a flame thrower in the exhaust it will look sick with the neon lights

In Texas, I only pay 1.89
Fuel in the USA is cheaper than most places it seems. In the UK it's about £1.14 per litre so about $6.69 per gallon. It's mainly because of the extortionate tax

Something you need to keep in mind with R888 is that the tire width numbers doesn't match your contact patch so your 265 fronts are actually like a 295. That would help with fitment

With the front camber plates maxed out you need to take the bag out and hammer in the metal behind it or the bag will rub on the backside and get a hole. I rode on mine like that for a week and it ate away a good chunk of the rubber

You need to replace the oil pump, timing belt and tensioner on that 2jz. Some would say you need to replace the head gasket, valve cover gaskets, valve stem Seals, clean injectors for and cam seal gaskets as well. You need to remember that motor could be 15 years old.

If you put the 2J in the BRZ, Pure auto just finished an electronics kit that uses a motec ecu to make all the stock electronics function perfectly :)))))
Now add like another $1k because it's an engine swap and there are always unknown costs haha

Yup people really don't grasp the cost to do swaps or even mods in general. They just look at the motor and trans cost and think that's it. It's sooooo much more. Also they don't grasp the time frame either. Hence when you said it would take you 2 weeks to do yours I laughed. Even once you have all your parts you'll run into issues, need more stuff, etc it will always costs 3x what you thought originally and take 3x as long.

personaly i think the brz needs a little more camber in the front so the wheels tuck more when its aired out and maybe a little less camber in the back

Why does TJ think the fitment is perfect? The fronts are perfect but the back wheels don't match the front at all with the fronts flush fitment while the back has that ugly "inside the fender" look. Widen the back wheels with some spacers or something
Tanner Jake It's because the wheels tuck when the car is laid out on the ground, just like they're supposed to
duuuuude...110% get a billet timing tensioner. you might as well change out the timing belt and tensioner bracket. the stock ones are susceptible to breaking. also im assuming you going single turbo so make sure you have the fabricator plug the unneeded coolant passages in the upper water neck and on the coolant tube.

Pretty sure a turbo should be one of the biggest things on that list. Not to mention you should do a full rebuild before you put it in. At least do timing belt/tensioner/water pump
