This is actually a remake of the original. The artist, Dara, first had this song titled "Mr Rover" and she sold it to SM. She even helped them to reconstruct the song to fit Kai's, I don't know, style I guess. 😅😊
Some people came at me cuz i gave this info under different reaction video, altho i stated that Kai did way better job than the original singer, and i'm a huge fan of him (and whole EXO actually). What you said really connected with the 'Rover' album. Actually, the album includes a B-Side track that resonated with the social media concept you mentioned "Black Mirror". Yes, its also connected to the Black Mirror series from Netflix but fundamentally, its about seeing the reflection of yourself when you close your phone screen (thus appearing a Black Mirror) after seeing all the glams and glows of Social media. Apart from this, Rover MV also contains the artistry of ballet because of his dancing background. Not sure if you know but KAI became passionate about dancing after starting out in ballet at the age of 8. Then, evolve into the idol he is today. For me, this is such a reggae bop such like KKBop~! I just wish he would've incorporated some ballet moves into the choreo to align with the ballet dancers XD. Anyway, thank you for reacting to EXO's members!
