    I'm so happy to see the car coming together. It may take it's time but nothing is rushed or hacked together, there is craftsmanship and thought behind every detail.

    I love the sheet metal work. Everyone seems to be afraid of sheet metal or they want to use way to heavy of a gauge and frame it with tube. I love the fact that you are shaping the panels and making them flow. Top notch Kyle!!!

    I think if you made the rear of the car kinda look like a tonneau cover that stops no further than the rear tires and have a dove tail wing that sticks up and out past the tires. From there you can basically go straight down a few inches to put your tail lights and rear bash bar, I think that would look pretty cool

  • @rjd048
    @rjd048 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thought on rear bumper. Tubular long oval with plate in center and Corvette recessed ovals. Then mount assembly to rear axle with tubes with internal springs for light impact and not mess up suspension or bumper. Leave all the back open as all the work that you did back their being covered in will take away from the general theme

    think the part over the diff and under the window needs to get a bit of a boat tail a lot shorter , and pointed down a little steeper
    live.staticflickr.com/73/224325572_6d82855e71_b.jpg
    could make a nerf bar type bumper mounted to the rearcase of the diff
    or the diff tubes
    can mount the numberplate under the point under boattail gives you a spot to hide the numberplate light under the point shining down too ,
    the brake / indicator / reverse lights you could make in the boattail piece under the rear window on each side , make the cover shaped like the body work so they dont mess up the lines out of lexan and put a box behind them with the actuall lights inside , think if you get dark(ish) lexan and paint the inside of the box matt black you whont see the lights behind them untill they light up / could replace the lexan by a chromed trellieswork like a grille i.pinimg.com/originals/7f/0f/81/7f0f8147c547fdf5e268997235f70725.jpg but with individually shaped thin round bars , will be eazier to get that to follow the shape i think

    modelling the car in 3D before manufacturing the car would save you lots of time and literally eradicate the trial / error part of your work.
    You would build the correct metal piece once. Maybe scan it and compare with the reference, and reshape it untill it matches.
    changing the design as you go is not optimal.
    There is a branch of 3D graphics named "concepting" just for that. Some illustrators can even render good 2D car concepts, but 3D is way better you can review in any angle.
