I would say that Mia herself isn't changing _much_ in the redo timeline. Most of her actual important personality changes happened in the original timeline, it was just far too late to fix the Empire's issues by the time she realized that they were serious issues. She was trying, but didn't have the knowledge of what could fix things, or the influence to fix them properly, or the allies to help her, or the time to do it, the first time around.
The biggest difference is that she learns actual compassion after experiencing it’s importance firsthand. Shes still self serving and arrogant but shes no longer alone because she’s learned to care for the people around her.
Mia was never a villain, not even a in the previous timeline. Just a spoiled and arrogant brat who had no idea what’s going on in the real world. Nobody tried harder than she did to save the empire during revolution. She’s inherently a good and caring person and always have been, but her goodness gets overshadowed by her arrogance in the previous timeline.
I was genuinely worried that the studio might f up the anime, i discovered this series through the novel, so I'm happy the way they are going through the story.
@@jsmith6599 Well it can't be helped, as in most light novels it's imperative that the author adds a lot of detail into their writing as that's what's mostly going to carry the story forward but in adaptation, that's just not going to translate well into anime especially if the series is being adapted by a small studio. In the limited budget and time that they have, they need to get to the major story beats of the series so that it's at least a product worth selling because a lot of the times they already know they're probably not going to make another season.

I love the juxtaposition between Mia's view and the rest of the world. the hospital is placed in the slum that Mia knows starts a plague in three years. everyone else thinks she is crazy generous showing mercy to the poor. she just hopes it stops the plague that gets her head cut off.
Honestly I don’t understand how they blame her for everything. I doubt she ordered them to not do anything. So they literally could’ve done something to try & provide people with support. Also Idk if I missed it an explanation, but the king & queen aren’t present. Dumping everything on a child & holding her accountable for the situation is ridiculous.

So the reason mia is also a scapegoat is because "they" need to fuel tiona and sion hatred toward the empire, so that they didn't falter halfway. You ought to read the LN, it's delightful, such a great read, clever and funny and at times heartwrenching. It is in fact my favorite LN, and I read a lot of LNs, I like it even more than Mushoku Tensei!

So I absolutely love this series. But what i find really funny is, I have a story I've been making since 2016 that has a similar character named Mia although it's a novel instead of anime. But the characters have the same name and look so it was definitely interesting finding this show. It made me have to remake my characters design entirely lol.

But Mia acknowledged Perujin’s pride and made friends with Rania the princess of Perujin. the scene was cut, which will leave a huge plot hole in volume 7 when Mia actually visits Perujin. 4, you won’t know this unless you read the LN or Manga. The anime doesn’t show, but there ARE villains in the series. They are known as the Chaos Serpents who’s goal is to destroy all manmade order. They are the ones who spread lies of Count Rudolvon’s assassination by the empire. They’re the ones who planned Remno’s revolution. And they’re still out there….

In the anime she did things like share her deserts with the maids sister and and helped triona with the bulls when she didnt have too not to mention try and help with the sunkland kingdom rebellion. The idea i got in the anime is that other than bullying those around her she was more just a selfish princess but her time in jail and her experience with her maid/ finance guy while there helped her grow as a person and she continues to grow through the anime The but for the princess really sucks As for the villains, the anime definitely revealed something about them towards the last 3 episodes with the sunkland incident and even revealed their motive to spread chaos
Ok so the first part of the anime, i REALLY liked it. The second part however ... so disappointed by it. She's basically oblivious to EVERYTHING (except what she remembers from previous life that anyway is almost irrelevant given how much the timeline has changed now), she basically is a dummy that only gets away from trouble due to MC Luck and the impression that people have of her. Does this improve or this the direction that the rest of story has? I don't know if i wanna pick up the LN for this ...

I watched all four episodes yesterday and it was really good
I love this story so much, my only problem is the school arc is a bit slow imo, but that could be because I've already read the manga and LN
