I love everything about Mario Kart DD! The vibrant colors, the cartoonish looks, the happy atmosphere... it's incredible to see these custom tracks for a 20 year old game that was so special to my kid self. In my opinion Double Dash and 8 have the best custom tracks out there!!
I'm pretty sure there's still like more than 16 different race-tracks introduced in SNES, N64, GBA, DS, Wii, and 3DS that haven't been added to this mod pack yet, however: releasing another page of courses and/or stages is gonna be pretty difficult, considering how all of Mario Karts 1-7's Battle Arenas have already been included in MKDD+ by Wave 5's complete patch!
Interesting how the 3DS tracks transition really well to Double Dash, in regards to graphics... Though I think some of the tracks may still need a bit more work.
@@Equalizer2922 Exactly. It just didn't seem that way, since it uses a lower resolution that looks very pixelated on a full display. But it was still more capable than the DS, as not only did it have better graphics, it also had full quality audio, which was the first for a Nintendo handheld. The PSP was only able to pull off that level of quality back in the mid 2000s, because it used miniature optical disks called UMDs, as cartridges couldn't have pulled it off until going into the 2010s. On the subject of handheld Nintendo systems, the Switch is comparable to the Wii U in regards to graphical power. People give it too much flack for being no better graphically than the Wii U, because they fail to realised the system is still a handheld device at its core. And that's why many games tend to be poorly optimised for it. Though sometimes that's a fault on the game itself, rather than the system.
Without Lumas, Rosalina's Ice World looks empty. That's why I added them in along with Rosa herself and Lubba. Also thanks for showcasing it too! Very much appreciated!
I know some prefer official releases, but why expecting Nintendo to please us; the modding community can give us what Nintendo will never bother to even try
Hello! I use dolphin emulator. I extracted the MKDD ISO using dolphin, and then copied and pasted the "files" and "sys" folders from the download to the extracted root folder. Once you pasted the files, go into the "files" folder and delete the "Course", "CourseName", "Movie", and "StaffGhosts" Folders. You should be all-set to go after that. Then go onto dolphin and just open the boot file from the "sys" folder.
@@MarioPower55 that's my thing though, when extracted it shows things like course 1-4, course name 1-4, no movie and staff ghosts 1-4. Then when I delete them all it's still not working. Am I doing something wrong?

That’s cause at the time the 3ds was able to achieve GameCube level graphics

Arcade GP came out after “Mario Kart: Double Dash!!” and “Mario Kart DS.” Thus making those tracks from those games “future tracks.”

All of the original tracks are still there, you just need to flip to the other pages for the custom tracks!
