You can actually make Duel Links run in widescreen even on your phone if you install any app that forces other apps to run in landscape mode. "Force Rotation: Auto Screen Orientation" comes to mind.

(Man I miss the days when bakugan was good. I'm not trying to say the reboot is trash, because I can feel it's doing... something... with it at least. But mainly I am just turned off by the overall art style, the way certain characters look, especially with the more robotic look on bakugan like Drago and all. And currently iffy on plot direction. I'll give it a chance, but I'm just not really for it too much.)

@@davidtierney7941 i mean, the monkey one can't be targeted for battle and attacks directly (as all immortals) but has an effect that only activates when destroyed by battle, that sure is unique, not the good kind of unique but unique nonetheless

I really like the order this went in with BLS, Obelisk, and Silent Magician. BLS created the hall, Obelisk destroyed it, and Silent Magician rebuilt it.
Much the same way for the show. BLS was one of Atem’s main monsters, and laid part of the foundation upon which Yugi/Atem became KoG. Obelisk, as well Ra and Slifer, destroyed the foundation of the game as they knew it, being as powerful as it was and being nigh-unstoppable together. And Silent Magician was the main monster of Yugi’s deck in the final duel, and was the monster to land the final attack on Atem...in a way, Silent Magician “restored” the state of the game and cemented its future by instilling hope in Kaiba...that if someone like Yugi could defeat Atem, he and others could reach even greater heights.

Honestly, if konami wanted to I could see them making a fighter game with yugioh cards. Neos would swap between forms to fight, dark magician would be a ranged control character, junk synchron could summon the other synchrons and for an ult maybe summon stardust to deal massive damage.
A Yu-gi-oh fighting game? I would give up my third leg to see that.

The animations are insane!! 🔥🔥🐉
I wish there were a way to fill the empty void in the back with a solid color other than brown. You can tell these animations, especially the older ones, were designed with the UI in mind.
These animations are visually impressing and intimidating by just seeing the whole monster you realise how powerful one may look. This difference alone can change one’s perspective of how they look at that monster.

You're kind of right actually, the early models are taken directly from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Saikyo Card Battle for the Nintendo 3DS.

This. I wish the series would return to its mythological roots of the og manga and alternative timeline concepts of the abandoned True Duel Monsters game series (namely Forbidden memories and Duelists of the Roses here in the west) and serve us with an epic Dark Souls like game set in Ancient Babylon, with no damn cards but Ka battles between warlords and kings with epic battles and massive destructions of environment. sigh. @@faris9720 You mean Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the beginning and Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End? Both can be played at 3 copies nowadays. Although Chaos Emperor Dragon had an errata so its effect is not as powerfull as it was in the past.

@@faris9720 Nope and nobody even plays them. They are just to weak for modern Yugioh. There is a newer card known as "Chaos Dragon Levianeer" who is simular to the envoys but more powerful, which is used in some decks.
@@zamorak888 i play duel links that card requires a hard summon condition also its effect is weaker than envoy end its just return random card from opponent hand or destroy 2 cards but it based on what you banish either light or dark or both. Envoy of end need specific light and dark to summon and return all cards from hand to deck and inflict massive damage. If it was used on the 1st turn when opponent have no handtraps
Missed opportunity to put together the Obelisk summon (destroying the temple) then Silent Magician LV8 right after (who rebuilds the destroyed pillars of the temple by Obelisk)

Ultimate Tyranno is the only one of my top 3 all-time fav cards that got an animation in the game (The Creator...) and I've been replaying it on loop. That cretaceous landscape, the big wrecking steps, gosh I wish I lived in those 15 seconds. Thank you.

Just imagine seeing HEROS, Shaddolls and Invoked for Fusions.
Synchros like the Signer dragons or
Gustos and the Nordic Gods.
XYZ with Utopia and the numbers with Galaxy Eyes. Maybe throw in the Barian archetypes. Or the Madolches!
This is kind of a ramble lol but now I really want this. Falsebound Kingdom was underrated and more in that style to touch things up while having the story and monsters for each era would be absolutely amazing. So much potential. I put so many hours into it growing up. It was so unique and deserves another shot.

Also Yubels animation gave me Majoras Mask vibes. Konami did some really good work on these.

I love the earth bound immortals the best. If for no other reason than it excellently portrays both the massive size and destructive might of the monsters

It’s so weird how, because it’s off screen for most of the animation, they don’t even use a complete Utopia Model most of the time. When the wings spread, Utopia is t-posing without arms. When the arms extend, all that’s rendered is an arm.

Silent Magician LV8, Yubel, and Dark Magician (DSOD) had dope summons.
My phone is pretty old now and has trouble rendering these animations, often resulting in black screening/crashing, so I had to turn them off. I've been playing without animations for so long that I've honestly forgotten they even existed.

also love how some are way more detailed then they should be , I noticed stuff get animated in the background even if normally with regular screen u wouldn't see it .

the tag force animations are dope
Its realy nice to see, that they give so many monsters a signature summon, even nobody would ever use them. Because "good player" only play the best cards.
I know why I make character Decks in Duel Links so every signature monsters get his duelist and his summon.
Because even if some of the monsters are "weak", they deserve some spotlight too.
Say what you will, but Armed Dragon Level 7 is so simple and yet so satisfying.
Playing final fantasy and this teminds me of the summons of ifrit and a like. Even thouhh a bit more harmless, for most of them.
