You know what man u really helped me out and I didn't have to do all the steps u did. All I had to do was find a way to turn the screen off and I was able to fix my power button. To be sure not asked account or gmail in the settings-> developer-> unlock oem to turn it on.
But if the phone is locked screen is difficult to do this and when you have been asked gmail account, please refer to this video.
