We were in the middle of filming a video on my 328i BMW e36, when Jack got a tip off from a mate that there was an E36 in a field that hasn't moved for a while.
So we headed over to the spot, knocked on the door and asked if he wanted to sell, which he did! So very last minute, we all went 3 ways on this 1994 BMW E36, which is a 316 and in actually pretty good condition! Barely any rust, completely stock and just needs a bit of love.

This is a good starting point for that "trading up" series that you were talking about. Paint the bumpers and skirts and that's all it needs aside from the things you mentioned.

Wurth Bumper Dye on all the black plastics after a clean up with some citrus cleaner stuff. Will transform it!
Another fantastic video - Jack driving is so funny while being helped by Andy! Most embarrassing moment - had the whole family round and tried to do a silent fart and it was mega loud! 😂😂
if you're selling the loon, i'd recommend removing the mudflaps and selling them separate as generally they fetch 250-400!

I’d definitely make this look oem, colour code the side skirts, new drivers seat, polish and wax and restore the front black plastic that looks funny on the front bumper

Those mudguards are actually pretty rare btw. Don't throw those lol.
The sills came in 2 colors: Darkgrey and lightgrey like yours. From factory, they always matched the (lower part of) the bumpers but the rubbery coating on your sills has faded so bad.
Just use some trim-restore on it and it'll make the car look so much nicer. Trim restore or used motoroil works really well too on that, no joke.
Obviously painting them and the bumpers would be the nicest option but that's expensive(ish).

I would defo do a full detail outside, underneath and interior, get some tints, with a BQR sunstrip, welding, then a nice ceramic coating, jobs a good one 😂

I thought California was strict but that MOT list is thorough! As much of a PITA I bet it is kind of nice knowing other cars alongside you in traffic are taken care of. You can have no brakes here but god forbid you don't pass emissions.

The front grills instead of spraying can you get a heat gun to get the dark black back?
Just clean the paintwork up. Get the colour code for the sills and paint them the correct grey. And slam it on those style 66s on the wall. 215/45 tyres.
Super dash stack it. Will increase the value 10 fold!
To make it nice to sell, just give ti a good detail, paint the bumpers and skirts to match the body and fix any problems.
Tint the windows just a litle and give it a good detailing from the outside
Blow torch the bumpers and skirts 👍🏼
The steering wheel has an airbag light cos 100% of the airbag controller/modules are in the steering wheel, it was an easy way to add an airbag to a car without all the wiring ect, my 94 m3 euro has the same wheel.
The E36 looked great back in their day.....amazing they have almost completly disappeared off the roads now

Engine out and give the bay a good fettle, a lot of work, costs nothing but is deffo something that helps sell the car

I think you should swap out the engine for the 2.8 m52 and then change the standard body kit to an OEM MSport kit and have the entire interior changed to an Msport interior. Bit of touch up around the paint and everything else replaced get it all freshened up

Paint the skirts and bumper body colour change the wheels for anything but those originals. Also put a set of seat covers on so it looks better

Less is more with 36s, unmolested ones are getting rare. More standard means more money I say! Common mods would be good but everyone goes their own way with them so idk, I’d say leave it alone as much as possible and clean it up
Wurth bumper dye will transform the bumpers and black trims 😊
You can heat the black plastic up with a heat gun and it wakes up the oil in the plastic and it goes black again
Brake refresh new pads and discs and spray en silver
i reckon you should put a nice set of wheels on and redo all the brakes but i will say jack is wrong and the coupe is much better :D

You should get some wheels ovbs and get rid of all the plastic and paint match them to make it look clean tint the windows and I think with the garden find bm I think you should only mod what your viewers say btw I’m size 9 😂

I went 3 ways on a 36 once before. Quite a bit older than me and the other 2 blokes were a bit weird mind, Thats also my most embarrassing moment in a family home

The original cats contained titanium Dictonite, which is no longer available. Ring any motor factors and ask them to supply you with Dictonite and the phone will go straight down. 😉
