Its easy to see why Kodak a street legend. Even with all his flaws, problems, and issues, he's refreshingly genuine. Strip away the South Florida dialect and the crazy antics and you see that dude raps from the soul. His lyrics are from lived experience and all that comes with that (pain, trauma, regret, hope etc). The furthest thing from "industry" as you can get despite his success and connections. And deep down, I feel a lot of folks respect that authenticity and candor whether or not they're fans of his music or like/dislike him as a person. I see an individual with potential for growth as a human being and I only hope he realizes that sooner than later.
