German and Italian steam locomotives,1972

Photos taken during the summer of 1972 in Europe, when steam was still very active in Italy and Germany. Featured steam locomotives include FS class 640 2-6-0s (double-headed) and a variety of DB classes, including 023 (2-6-2), 042 (2-8-2), 043, 044, 051, 052 (2-10-0), 011 and 012 (4-6-2).
