No joke, I have actually fallen asleep to a couple of Pete dorr vids in the past, but it's because god damn do you have a smooth voice man, and it's just so nice to sit back and learn about some new games:)
I dont see how a crack in the case matters... just put the paper into a different case. BAM mint condition

@@NicktheLP i always save any jewel cases i can find in good condition, the shittier the music or game on the disc the better lol i just throw it all away and keep the case
I really enjoy these episodes Pete, I don't often buy games off of ebay, but just the methods you use for searching to get good results can apply to anything you're searching for, and it has helped me refine my searches quite a bit. Also these episodes are just plain entertaining!

I'm glad you're giving Tsugunai a look. Bought it really cheap at a game store years ago and it was actually pretty cool. Messing around with the combat blocking system was fun and so was filling up the amulets with different rune shapes. Once the amulet is filled, its spirit can be summoned. I found it really interesting, especially being a game under $10 at the time.
Awesome episode. Just wanted to let you know that you have turned me on to eBay shopping. Although I still hit up garage sales and goodwill I've found some really good deals thanks to your methods.

I really like this series, actually taught me how to use ebay more efficiently.
BTW I see Dragon Seed for pretty cheap all of the time when I used to go to disc replay, I just assumed it wasn't good since it was always around $10 CiB
I see thousand arms every now and then too, can't remember what it went for though, sometimes it isn't CiB though, next time I'm there, I'll keep an eye out. Its actually pretty good though, its quite different, especially for the ps1.

I love these videos since I tend to sometimes hunt on Ebay myself. :) I have also been looking for Dragon Seeds. I used to rent it all the time as a kid. Also, Guardian's Crusade is a RPG. It is very kid-ish, but it was intended to be that way because it was a game that was suppose to be introducing kids to RPGs. However, I remember this game being fun. It's been years since I played it though. One of the many games I use to rent back in the day.

I love PSX long boxes. I was sad when they went to generic (and also very fragile) jewel cases. Twisted Metal, Doom, Tekken, Ridge Racer, Mortal Kombat 3, Viewpoint, Battle Arena Toshinden, Jumping Flash, Need for Speed, Wipeout, all have beautiful long boxes.

I haven't bought anything from "the-video-game-gallery" on ebay (when you looked up in cold blood) but they seem to be pretty reliable sellers
To save you a little time, you can just check the box on the left side of the screen to show sold listings instead of how you do it

I think you should actually keep the video ALL raw footage. A. You did say it's a realtime video (in episode 2) and also I like the raw footage. B. It gives an illusion (not really) of the event of eBay Game Hunting. Loving the new videos Pete!!

I'm still waiting for you to come across Lord of the Rings: The Third Age on GBA again, Pete :) I know you didn't enjoy the console adaptation, but the GBA game is an entirely different game. Again, a Fire Emblem-type clone set in the Lord of the Rings universe. Well worth the $20 or less asking price, my friend!

You do know that you can click completed or sold listings on the page with the listings right?
Yes, but I use completed instead of sold because it is also important to see when games DON'T sell and how much the seller was asking. A game might sell for $10 but there may be 20 others that did not sell for under $10 for instance.

Just curious, why not just grab killer 7 on xbox or ps2? The xbox has many 3rd party games that would probably benefit from the most powerful hardware - and for a lot cheaper than the cube versions. Another example would be TS future perfect.

Pete I just lost this REALLY good bid on a lot. I had been bidding since the day before and had to outbid one or two people, but then two others doubled my price in like the last 3 seconds, next time should I just wait until last minute if it is untouched?
Always wait with your best patience until the last grasp, bear in mind though that some are using sniping services.
Google that one up if you are feeling curious, most unfair I think personally.

Weird how you searched for Team Buddies. I actually used to have that game and it was a total gem on the ps1. Id let friends borrow it and everyone loved it. Never would have thought it was a rare game

Can't you buy replacement jewel cases in bulk and just replace the case? Other than having a clear case there is nothing special about the jewel cases.
The fact that tron bonne's price is increasing so fast is ridiculous. Not to long ago I saw it in a store for 130 or maybe less. It's probably only rising due to the bubble.

it seems def like your more into the rush you get from the so called hunt of the games and how rare they are then actualy games youll play its a shame because this is the thing driving prices so high glad that companies are doing the whole re release on consoles and steam etc because I can get good games I'm gonna enjoy and play and leave the overpriced shelf stock that's gonna sit there to the people that do it for the thrill of the hunt works out so good for the gamers

why do you care about cracks..their cd cases probably the easiest game cases to replace...even the double disc cases are just double audio cd cases...and even if ya don't have a replacement go and find a cd case at a goodwill or st vinnies...i see alot of videos with people saying they would buy it if it wasn't cracked as far as ps1 games..and i don't get it..same goes for greatest hits games although for a totally different reason..if your buying it to play who cares if its greatest hits...if its gonna sit on a shelf then maybe i understand but price wise after ps1 it don't really matter if its one or the other

I love Gregory Horror Show! It's one of my favourites on the PS2. A very different take on the survival horror genre. It's worth around 20-30 dollars here in europe. I'm surprised to see the US value of this game!
Those were the JP version, it was never released outside of Europe and Japan apparently.

I can't believe that game was not released in the US, such a great title, and for me a definite must-own for the PS2. I just love the character design and the mood in that game. Cute graphics, but the game is surprisingly scary!
Haha, I figured I would say dollars, as Pete probably doesn't know the exchange rate of norwegian crowns, what we have where I live. I paid around 20 crowns for my copy of Gregory Horror Show. :)
(But the game seems to be worth more like 150 crowns)

You americans are really lucky, alot of the things you look at in these videos on ebay, are not even viewable in europe because the sellers usually block us from seeing it because they don't want to ship international :(

I could never get on with Killer 7, too many aggravating non skippable sections (that "pretend" voice ahhhhhhhhhh!) but Gregory Horror Show on the other hand is a fantastic game.
