Thanks for watching my Virgin AND Carnival video! If you enjoyed it, it would be AMAZING if you'd consider hitting both the THUMBS UP and SUBSCRIBE buttons - thank you, and let's go see the world by ship!
Another great video Fraser. Interesting the comment about Laundry - some lines (Cunard, Oceania, Princess) have free self service guest laundries. We quite often do a cruise in the middle of a longer land trip, and after a week or two of sightseeing on land, the first stop on board ship is the self service laundry!
Yeah, I LOVE onboard guest laundry - I didn’t realise that was a thing before I started doing more cruises. Amazing when you find them and they’re FREE of charge - I love that! Thanks for watching!!
Indeed, I'd really like to know how you deal with long-term cruise travel and making plans to get from one ship to another...that would probably be a whole series! Wouldn't worry about the Internet for me, but know that it can be important for others. A friend who took a couple of cruises together and had a day layover in which she did all her laundry at the hotel before getting one her new ship. Enjoy the new ship!
Hey! I’m actually going to do content looking specifically at the concept of longer term travel - I get so many questions about how it worked. People have even requested I write a book, which was such a compliment!
Thanks for the wonderful sailaway views of Miami. I would also worry about eating too much on continuous cruising. Forget about the laundry, i would need a complete new set of clothes by the end. Another great video.
Hey, thanks! This is such a funny comment - I thought the laundry facilities were shrinking my clothes as time went on, but looking back it was just me enjoying too many snacks, hahaha!
I have a Verizon hotspot, I never thought about it but I wonder if that would work on the ship. I'm surprised they don't have a couple of self-serve washers and dryers where one can do their own laundry.
Good question! I don’t think they work on the ship - I believe you need to be on land for them as they work on mobile signal rather than satellite. Hopefully this makes sense…!
Virgin to Carnival! Alright Fraser! 😂 loving the “side to side”! Those Sailaway views are amazing! 😂 This ship looks like so much fun, need to try Carnival! So interesting to hear about how your long-term cruise travel works #goals
Enjoyed this, thanks Fraser! I couldn't be the last off...I'd be freaking out. 😂 Quite a different atmosphere compared to what you left on Virgin. My only Carnival cruise also left from Miami. I loved being able to see so many different ships all around. 😊
Ha, yeah - part of me wondered if the ship would leave again with me on it - I loved the later departure times with Virgin! Thanks a lot for watching Tammy - always so lovely to see your name pop up on a new video!
Great interesting video as usual, Fraser. However, I was really shocked to see the suitcase mayhem by the passenger lifts! Never seen anything like that before! Every ship I’ve been on luggage is distributed via the crew lifts. Also embarking via passenger decks?? Was there an issue somewhere? Or is that all normal on Carnival? Definitely off putting 😕
Hey Zoe, very surprising for me too - I’d never seen that before! On my Panorama cruise a few weeks prior, we boarded into the Atrium, which was far more impressive than being pushed down a corridor with cabins, ha! I’m assuming maybe crew elevators were broken somewhere - felt so chaotic!
You hit on same things I don’t like about cruising. 1. Exorbitant WiFi costs. I went 34 days in Dec around South America. I was on Princess and I could get wifi for 24 hours every 3rd day. That worked out well. Not all cruise lines allow paying by 24 hours. But paying $15-20 for 34 days is crazy! And for a week, we were in Antartica so not much of a signal down there! 2. Laundry. On that Princess ship, they had laundromats on every level and was good. MSC for my next cruise and it is 22 days, mostly in Med but they don’t have laundromats so it will be costly. But for wifi, I will use an European esim and just get online at the ports.
Hello! Thanks for watching, and thanks for leaving such a great comment! Totally agree - wifi is SUCH a hate of mine on ships, but I do like going for a 24 hour stint every few nights! I absolutely LOVE onboard laundromats - it’s such a shame more ships don’t have them! I did 21 nights with MSC last year, and really hated paying for their laundry bag service, ha!
That’s the first I’d heard of virgins sheets being uncomfortable haha good to know. I was wondering how you fared with laundry when I clicked on the video - so funny you brought it up. Glad it worked out in this instance! Also, I love the sail away shots in Miami! Well done, and thanks for sharing!!
Hi Anne, thanks for watching! Yes - laundry was one of my peeves with long term travel, ha! I refuse to re-wear everything and meet people in smelly clothes. Ha, thanks for watching!!
@@sowrongitsanne good question! Cunard was SO easy - free to use laundry rooms all day - loved them! Carnival was also good, but difficult to get a washer at times in the laundry room!

We always do laundry on board ourselves. Carnival has self-service laundry for $3 was and $3 dry per load.
Yeah, I saw this on Carnival Panorama actually - I was a huge fan! It’s such a luxury to arrive home with clean clothes, isn’t it?!

Also public seating a little to group center

Hi Fraser great video I’m going on carnival legend in august around the British isles, looking forward to seeing more of your videos 😻
Thanks so much, Christine! That’ll be amazing going round the U.K. with Carnival - I forgot they were doing that! Please let me know how you get on!

Oh, great - I’m glad you have. Welcome to my channel - good to e-meet you!
Cunard’s Wifi is expensive!
I agree - SO pricey!
Carnival - do they have laundry rooms? That would be good to know long term cruising. Who does who doesn’t. Can’t wait to hear internet hacks
They do on some of their ships! I was on Panorama and Horizon, and they had them on both of these ships!
