The line "My good deeds are like some period blood stains on a dirty rug" is a biblical refernce from Isaish 64:6 "All of us have become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like a polluted garment; all of us wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind." Basically all his good deeds are dirty to and we are all equal and that's where in the end he points to Jesus, the only man that can make us clean. I don’t think Lecrae is saying “turn the other cheek” as his response to the exploitation and manipulation of hip hop and black communities, I think he’s saying “I know what you’re talking about, I’ve been in your shoes, ‘I’m that killer.’ Lecrae also asks “I wonder what lecrae would do” saying EVEN HE doesn’t know what to do about everything, he’s no better than anyone else, but Jesus is. Lecrae called it when he said “the word will say ‘really? That’s all you got for us?’” Without realizing, you said the same thing. Jesus isn’t the “logical” way forward to thinkers like yourself, but He is still the answer.
Laceration summed it up that there is only one God who gave his only son, a man who did not sin to die for us and people or the world will say that is not true. All the other religions are not true but false idols but like Lacrea said it sounds foolish to the non believer. Thank you Lord for being patient with me when I was in my sins not caring about what I was doing. Thank you for allowing me to live to ask for forgiveness and to repent. Even thou I am not perfect you correct me and put me on the right path. You discipline me when I need it because you love me. Please Lord touch the heart of any person reading and bless them. Human beings ways of solving problems has always led to some sort of division, w@r, h8, wrath, vengeance, inequality etc…..it has never led to something that works for all due to our fallen nature. We’re still seeing the same issues since the beginning of human time today. What Lecre is saying is “nothing we have done on our own will has been righteous but the 💀 of Christ is righteous.” With true repentance comes a new creation/life/heart of a true believer that becomes a force of light to fulfill God’s will on earth.
