My Dad worked at fisher body in the 50s through mid 60s. Paint Forman. He watched his own SS 409 being built.. Love those 63s..

I’d rather get one like this than one with fresh black paint and no idea what’s under it!! At least on this one, you know exactly what you’ve got from end to end. Nothing was puttied and hidden only to pop out next spring.

That's good price and no one tried to replace the big ass steering wheel. I love big steering wheels. I forgot all about those X frames man it looks solid but still some serious rust repair.

I'm retired now and this car pretty checks about 8 out of 10 boxes of my old man car. 1960's Bowtie, 4spd are two biggies for me. Price seems right and I like that its no where near a trailer queen. However, the wife wants a kitchen remodel, sooo, its a no go right now. Pity, I'm a short 4 hour drive north of Nashville
How come he horns rarely work, connections oxidize, or actual horn itself just needs to be replaced ?

That could be a nice car, but definitely needs a lot of work.I do love those 63's though.
An example of good from far, far from good for that body, a lot of “crispness”, that I’m sure a good body shop can resolve, but for what 2k or 8k ? Otherwise looks good, love that look. I would have fabricated some rubber plugs for those antenna holes, instead of letting water get in their for years and rot that trunk bed out, what a shame. Engine bay looks nice and clean. If it were perfect, that car would be 30k. Seems like needs a lot of sheet metal fabrication to properly fix that body. Repro body parts at Jegs may be the way to go for quarter panels, hood, etc. looks like you can get fenders and quarter panels for $1500, if you wanted to go that route.

Definitely a project! But the dash tack says it is a 300+ horsepower, super sport!!
Needs alot of body work paint horn antena rear tires windshield seats trim interior worth the time and money
If only I had the money the 63 two door Impala and the 62 4 door Impala would be purchased and shipped to ND for me

This car is beautiful, I love the red interior and the manual on the floor and that it's a 63 not 64, this car is too nice
but I still love even more that green 1970 Dodge Coronet sb manual with a black leather vinyl top and green interior which is a car more my style or a 69 Dart Swinger lol has to be a manual on the floor 5spd at least, I like year models that have quarter windows bc those are nice on nice days, I had a 96 f150 5.0(not the 4.9lol) 5spd manual single cab longbed it has quarter windows and it was nice enough for me

That song you have playing at the beginning of the video reminds me of the music that plays at the beginning of sitcom show as the opening credits roles I can see the show already. Its a comedy about an old school comic that cut his teeth doing standup in the 90s and 2000s trying to make it work again as he hasnt done it in a while but he is struggling some with all these "PC" and SJW's in society. His love interest is a gorgeous knockout of a person with a personality to match who he feels he doesnt deserve. He is a quirky guy so he has a good sense of humor about his career and his girl and that's what attracts him to her. It has a dark 90s humor feel to it that matches his personality that's very self deprecating . Will he find the balance in his life and act? Tune in next week to find out the zany little ways he has had it "this whole time"

Oh my goodness!!! Will you all please look ad the body lines on this beautiful 63 Impala???... Is such an Unique style and the tail lights which everyone likes!!! Nevermind the rubbing on the wide Tires on the rear!!! I would put Air shocks and it will look mean!!! I would call it * Dark Vader*!! As a teen, we all called these Impalas "Cheech n' Chong" cars. Funny, but I still say it to myself when I see one. Something else: I hum to myself the "Every Which Way But Loose" Black Widow theme whenever I see a guy on a Harley wearing biker gear. Just can't get these things out of my head!

The engine has a misfire....possibly a burnt valve judging by the popping sound from the left exhaust pipe.

Don't you guts have a mechanic that works for you? The timing is to far advanced. That's why it drags while starting and spark knocks.
