Nagesh plays the lead role in the movie. Nagesh lives a contended life of a waiter with his mother. He falls in love with K.R.Vijaya who frequents the hotel he works but K.R.vijaya is not interested. Nagesh ventures into movies with the help of his friend Muthuraman. The rest of the movie is about how he excels in movies and whether he gets his ladylove.

What writing. How maturely did he handle rejection. Today's protagonists dont get rejected in the first place even if they do they break into a song stereotyping women. Class written all over the scene. Add all this to nagesh s brilliant performance. I wish we had such movies now

Exactly my thoughts. The maturity depicted by Nagesh Sir character is commendable. The most decent rejection scene ever.
Especially the part where he calls his servants and speaks - the first impression would be that he was flaunting his status. But in reality he was expressing his gratitude to his friend who helped him reach that status. Awesome 👏👏👏
Sathiyama these type of acting or movies cant be seen again...actors like MGR,Sivaji and Nagesh are like GEM till tamil cinema exists...🙏🙏🙏
