Striking kote which is against do is ippon when hitting wrist side. Perk stroke Shodai's fist in all attacks,so these were not judged as ippon i think.
Cut the krap. It is a clear kote. The judges loves to make a sham to give the Japanese an ippon. All politics, think why the head of the IFK is the japanese for the whole time.
To ones who do not know the rule and think they are professionals, striking the right Kote during a Kote is an Ippon, even if the opponent's hand is in Do.

@@마루달-c1z I think that the main difference is on the ippon criteria. For a strike to be considered ippon you need sae and a good opportunity. The Korean player seems to hit the kote, but the sound and the opportunity aren't so good for high tier players. In the video you send the jodan players has no posture (kuzushi) and his hand is on the side of his body, when he got hit you can hear a pretty nice sound (sae). When we look to the Korean player in this video, most of the times he hits pretty hard but we can't hear the sound of the shinai, and for the jodan player he keeps the hand pretty close to his body (if you keep it closer to the tare than closer to the mune, you can hide a little bit of the dattosu bui). To make it short, the right kote is always valid, but the way Shodai keeps his right hand makes a very small target, you have to hit with the very tip of the shinai, making very hard do good sae. Since those are two of the best players on the time of the video, shinpan are pretty strict with ippon criteria.
Based on what I have heared, striking a Kote which is against the Do of a Jodan Kenshi is not Ippon. And in my humble opinion, all the strikes on mister Shodai Kote was not Ippon. But the frustration overflow of mister Park should not be shown. Reigi, please... If mister Park has kept focus, I am sure he would have won. Please, do not feel offended...

相手が上段の構えの時は、両方の小手と突きが上段の構えに対しての対策。
なので中段の相手の構えからして、一番近い相手の左小手を起点に攻めるのが基本。
なので相手が竹刀を持っている左を狙うならまだ分かるにしろ、竹刀から手を離している右を打ってもあまり有効とはみなされないかと。

What is this anoying "booing" from.the crowd? Striking kote while it's not grabbing the shinai it's not an ippon, not in kendo at least.
But to be fair, Park did make a nice hiki-kote, and that last do could have been.considered ippon in my opinion.
