Yes but what hurts Colby & jerri is that they were both not nearly as effective in all stars or heroes vs villains, especially jerri. Overall if we’re grading the 3 seasons I’d agree but based on the performances I’d say cops r us is the one
I wouldn't say loyal hero, I'd say he's the person at the beginning of the movie, you swear is the villain and your waiting the whole time for him to reveal himself but it turns out he was the hero the whole time and you appreciate him more for it. I was waiting for Cagayan tony when the Sophie vote happened. I was thinking here we go again tony about to make it a madhouse and win or get voted out next. But he was more cool calm collected and florished in the mument.

I was nearly crying when this happened, they have grown so much since Cagayan. Cops-R-Us lived up to its full potential in this season and it was amazing to watch. As much as I wanted Sarah to win, and watch both of them in the final tribal council battling for maybe the last time, I am happy with Tony winning. Not the tie-breaker I wanted but this was absolutely amazing and beautiful to watch!!!
Caleb Lane I found Russell getting what he deserved very satisfying haha but this season was far from perfect. Everyone know that Tony was going to win at the end, and nobody did anything about it
The best part of this was that if Tony didn’t already have it in the bag, Sarah sealed the deal. Her genuine love and support for Tony as a person and for his gameplay shined through every word and every tear. Nat wanted vengeance on this alliance and I get it, but I think it was what ultimately destroyed her game in the end.

Sarah had Zero chance of winning. She was a goat all season. Natalie needed to get rid of Tony to win. Had she succeeded, she would have won. Everyone knew if Tony was in final 3 he would win. But the jury even said if Natalie could have taken him out before final 3, she was going to win. There was no vengeance or anger. It was strategy that didn't work out. And sending herself to fire making is BS. She did her part. She won the challenge. Now out of nowhere, everyone EXPECTS her to give up the necklace and put her ass on the line? Half if not ALL of those jury members have, in the past, called people stupid and unworthy at the very idea of giving up immunity. Look back at every fire making challenge and tell me how many of the immune persons gave up their necklace to put themselves on the block. Because by THAT logic "Natalie didnt give up immunity so she doesn't deserve it", nearly half the winners are punk bitches who never deserved their win.
Honestly, I was full on ugly crying when he won the challenge, and then they both cried and had to say goodbye and they said I love you and cops 'r us and YOU KNOW WHAT IT WAS JUST VERY EMOTIONAL

The kind of growth and metamorphosis that, while it's so common on Survivor, is still precious and beautiful to watch. Tony came into this season saying he was on "probation" in the hopes people would let their guards down before he struck. But it was really Tony who let his guard down. The Russell Hantz knock off who betrayed Sarah and swore up and down on dead relatives in Cagayan, that guy is dead. This time around, we saw him not just patch things up with Sarah and Sandra, but cultivate real friendships with people. He let Ben pick him up and run him around the island after finding an idol. He would sit down with Nick and others and listen to their input and genuinely consider it. During the loved ones visit, he broke down and sobbed. When Sarah snuck onto the Sele beach for an advantage, Tony helped her and advised her to be safe. And it comes to a head here, with Tony's mixed emotions, probably really happy to make it to FTC, but sad and guilty that he had to take down his biggest ally and friend in the game to do so. Tony is the GOAT for sure. He transcended his Cagayan game, proved he could control votes and play a dominant, winning game without getting his hands *as* dirty as he once did and allowed himself to open up and let the experience of playing Survivor change him for the better as a person. The story book ending for Cops R Us is just one of many great story book endings we got in Winners at War, authored by the greatest player to ever play the game
It's not like Tony was a cunt before playing WaW. It's a game. Tony is probably still a lot like Cagayan Tony, the difference here is that he is has relationships with these people outside the game, he didn't know people from adam in Cagayan which allowed him to play the way he did before. He is still a great manipulator, that is plain to see, it's just that he had to be be more careful this time around, and not play as cut throat in order not to hurt those he cares about. Tony was never a Hantz knock off, Hantz is a bit of a cunt. Tony is just a a good liar and he played people, but I doubt he's that guy outside of the game, I don't know if I'd say the same for Hantz. It was interesting to see him and Sarah though, I genuinely didn't believe he would take her to the end until we started getting close to the finale. So maybe that was the greatest sign of growth, or maybe he just didn't care as much about the money as he did before. I don't think Tony believed that he would 100% beat Sarah at the end so bringing her to Final 3 would have definitely been out of his wheelhouse for sure.

Honestly I had no idea what to expect coming in to winners at war. I was apprehensive about someone becoming the second 2 time winner in survivor history, what if it was someone trash like Adam or Ben or Ethan or danni, that would’ve been awful to have another 2 time winner who is one of the worst winners on this cast and maybe in history. But for all that fear, it completely evaporated once I saw cops r us take control of the game. These two were so heartwarming and real the entire season, u could tell through all of the stupid gameplay by Boston Rob and the paranoia from Adam and the douchebaggery from Wendell and the vampire edit by nick, these 2 stayed true to each other the whole season. Their bond that had been forming for years after Cagayan was so strong, it was so beautiful to see. All coming to a head at the very end when they were forced to turn against each other, and climaxing with the most beautiful send off any player has had since Cirie in game changers. Tony has come full circle, from being the deceptive villain who lies to everyone and has no remorse, to the guy who breaks down crying seeing himself send home his closest ally and best friend. I thought the season 36 and 38 endings were truly something special and couldn’t be topped, boy was I wrong. What a trip. I hope survivor 42 brings a great ending as well, going along with the theme of the even seasons having amazing endings. Cops r us is my favorite duo all time, idk if this storyline will ever be topped
I like the full character arc of this duo. At Cagayan Finale Sara says she wasn’t talking to Tony after the show and he showed his “true colors”. Now they look like they’re really good friends.
Slightly unrelated, but either way or, Michelle and Natalie were screwed no matter who won the fire making challenge. You just can't award somebody who was already voted out of the game the 2 million dollar prize, because that just isn't how the game works, and on top of that Sarah played phenomenally with Tony, so she probably would have won.
The only way was for her to win the firemaking challenge against the player who played the best game. And she didnt take it. If anything she got rid of the best fire maker in ben.@@johnjungkook2721

Natalie should have let Michelle go up against him. It looked like Michelle would have won, and Sarah would have been kinda neutered by looking like she got a free pass, and Tony would have been gone.
Sending Sarah was the worst choice Nat could've made imo. If she took herself to Fire and won I think she automatically would've won the season just for that choice alone and the courage that would take. If she would've put Michele she could probably beat Tony in fire, but even if she lost, Sarah and Tony would've split the "Cops r Us" vote and Nat would have also gained one more Jury vote as Michele would probably vote for her maybe putting her over the edge and having one of the tightest wins in survivor history.
Natalie lost either way. Because Natalie was never going to beat Sarah, and I doubt Michelle would have voted for Natalie. Michelle would have voted for Sarah.

I get why people think edge of extinction sucks and all of the advantages and fire making suck, but the legendary extortion episode and this scene don’t happen without these allegedly bad twists.
He was clapping and cheering because it was an intense tribal council. Tony’s alliance was about to lose or prevail. They had incorrectly played two idols but still came out on top. Tony and Sarah formed Cops R Us early in that season but they were swapped and both ended up in strong opposing tribal alliances going into the merge. Tony expected Sarah to flip and resume their alliance but she was wishy washy and had lost trust in Tony. Tony’s alliance, realizing Sarah was a no go decided to flip their votes onto Sarah at the merge TC. There does seem to be a misconception that Tony screwed Sarah but at the very same tribal Sarah led the charge to vote out Tony until he showed his idol.
This is the reason it was hard for me to like tony in winners at war. Poor sportsmanship in his first season. Super unnecessary reaction. Glad to see he made a 180 tho

Slightly unrelated, but either way or, Michelle and Natalie were screwed no matter who won the fire making challenge. You just can't award somebody who was already voted out of the game the 2 million dollar prize, because that just isn't how the game works, and on top of that Sarah played phenomenally with Tony, so she probably would have won.
Exactly - Natalie's lost her chance at winning the game from the minute Ben got voted out.
Because she was left with two people she couldn't beat.
The only way was for her to win the firemaking challenge against the player who played the best game. And she didnt take it. If anything she got rid of the best fire maker in ben.@@johnjungkook2721

Natalie should have let Michelle go up against him. It looked like Michelle would have won, and Sarah would have been kinda neutered by looking like she got a free pass, and Tony would have been gone.
Sarah would have won the season, not Natalie. Natalie had no shot once Ben left the game.

Sending Sarah was the worst choice Nat could've made imo. If she took herself to Fire and won I think she automatically would've won the season just for that choice alone and the courage that would take. If she would've put Michele she could probably beat Tony in fire, but even if she lost, Sarah and Tony would've split the "Cops r Us" vote and Nat would have also gained one more Jury vote as Michele would probably vote for her maybe putting her over the edge and having one of the tightest wins in survivor history.

Because Natalie was never going to beat Sarah, and I doubt Michelle would have voted for Natalie. Michelle would have voted for Sarah.

I enjoy Tony's gameplay a lot more in Winners at War compared to Cagayan.

I get why people think edge of extinction sucks and all of the advantages and fire making suck, but the legendary extortion episode and this scene don’t happen without these allegedly bad twists.

Can someone explain why Tony was happy when he voted Sarah off, it’s like watching a parody. Did me know she was cop back then?
He was clapping and cheering because it was an intense tribal council. Tony’s alliance was about to lose or prevail. They had incorrectly played two idols but still came out on top.
Tony and Sarah formed Cops R Us early in that season but they were swapped and both ended up in strong opposing tribal alliances going into the merge. Tony expected Sarah to flip and resume their alliance but she was wishy washy and had lost trust in Tony. Tony’s alliance, realizing Sarah was a no go decided to flip their votes onto Sarah at the merge TC.
There does seem to be a misconception that Tony screwed Sarah but at the very same tribal Sarah led the charge to vote out Tony until he showed his idol.

Sarah was not a likeable contestant. Tony was HUGELY LIKEABLE.
People who played the game with Sarah said they loved her, so she was likeable to people even if you didn't find her likeable on screen
