  • An online oral history project by Heritage Toronto is shining a spotlight on Little Jamaica, a neighbourhood that has been battered by endless construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, shuttering many businesses.
The project, called "The Living History of Little Jamaica" developed by emerging historian, Victoria Atteh, documents the neighbourhood's cultural roots through the voices of those who call it home, with the hope of giving people a deeper understanding of the vibrant community and the importance of ensuring it doesn’t disappear.
Heritage Toronto is also joining forces with students of Centennial College's post-grad PR program to launch 'Do Supm Toronto," a campaign encouraging people to visit Little Jamaica and experience its food, music, and culture. #DoSupmTO
